(Before It's News)

Are you old enough to remember when there was just basic broadcast TV, and all those pesky little cable networks kept snatching up all the good content? This is like that, except replace “broadcast TV” with “commercial-filled, watered down cable networks” and  pesky cable networks with “YouTube Premium Content Channels.” The internet is here, and /DRIVE is at the forefront of automotive programming. And just so everyone knows it, /DRIVE has the exclusive broadcast rights to the 2012 Race of Champions in the United States. Not Speed, not Velocity, not NBC, just /DRIVE.

This year’s ROC will be broadcast live from Bangkok, Thailand at 7PM ET on/Drive, December 15th and 16th. Saturday the 15th is the Race of Nations, and Sunday the 16th will be the Race of Champions. From Bangkok, JF Musial and John Hindhaugh will provide live commentary, while in the New York studio, racing driver Tommy Kendall will be joining our resident racing guru Leo Parente with live chat the whole time.

/DRIVE’s Race of Champions Coverage will be sponsored by Pirelli, GoPro, and Hertz (Though I’m still banned from renting their cars).

Hit the jump for the ROC trailer video and don’t forget to subscribe to /DRIVE!
