Press Release
Attorney Taitz is asking supporters to provide links to C-Span. John Boehner had only 216 votes after second roll call, not 220, as reported in the media.
Attorney Taitz watched today’s vote for the Speaker and the numbers were different from what media reported. Teh media reported that Boehner got 220 votes. Taitz watched C-Span and Boehner had only 216, not 220.
Taitz noticed that in the first roll call Gowdy, Salmon, Webster and Yoho did not vote at all. During the second roll call the secretary of the House of Representatives specifically called ones who did not vote. There was still no vote from Gowdy. Salmon suddenly cast his vote for Boehner and Taitz remembered thinking that Boehner probably got to Salmon. After the Second call there were 28 who voted not for Boehner and not for Pelosi (Taitz remembered that out of these 28 one was a Democrat, Kirstin Cinema, who voted for Lewis) , these 28 voted for other and 1 voted “present”. After the second call, they announced that ones who did not cast their votes in the first and second call can still come to the podium and vote, which was the third push. After all three pushes the results were announced and the last tally was only 216 for Boehner, not 220.
Taitz is asking the supporters to get the links and you tube footage of this vote, so the public can see.
