Benghazi: Explosive E-Mail Means More Questions for State Department

ABC News is reporting that they have obtained an e-mail from last May in which the State Department denied a request by security officials in Libya to keep a private plane with which to move around the country including when they are carrying weapons.

And did you hear the response from the State Department to this news? This is no big deal because commercial flights were available.


Can you visualize the scenario?

Security officials in Tripoli get an urgent call that the consulate in Benghazi (on the other side of the country) is under attack. They rush to the airport only to be told that all flights are booked, but they can get on standby for a flight leaving in 4 hours, but sorry-no weapons allowed.

I guess at that point it is no big deal because they had that “robust Libyan security force” in place, right Hillary?
