Old Commies never die, they just change their names

(Before It's News)

Gen. Douglas MacArthur once stated as he ended his career, “Old soldiers never die, they just fade away.”

As a takeoff on MacArthur’s famous quip, I have coined the adage, “Old Commies never die, they just change their names.”

We are seeing this played out right before our very eyes as the old KGB Communist himself, Vladimir Putin, takes over territory that does not belong to him.

But today we witnessed an act that should be enough to greatly concern all Americans, not just those in the political ruling class. The British Air Force scrambled its fighter jets today to chase off some airborne intruders — from Russia.

You read that right. Old Commie Vlad and his Russian army sent spy aircraft to the U.K. for the purpose of gathering information. Folks, I remember the Cold War very well, from the late 1950s until Ronald Reagan almost single-handedly defeated the “evil empire” in the late 1980s. This incident today is as big a throwback to the days of the Cold War than anything we’ve seen in 30 years.

Thus, not only is the U.S. under attack from the “progressives” (regressives) within — people who at heart are Marxist), or from Middle Eastern styled terrorism, but from our old nemesis, Russia. Vlad wants back what Russia lost in the Cold War — Ukraine, Poland, Hungary, Romania, the Czech Republic, and a host other former satellite states of the Soviet Union.

The Old Commie wants it all, and he showed today that he is willing to be brazen about it. This is anything but a good sign.

In 2008 when Russia invaded another former satellite, Georgia, I stated that it appeared that we were headed for another Cold War. John McCain’s operatives must have gotten hold of my prediction and took to the airwaves to say, “We are not interested in another Cold War.”

Well, Senator, you may not be interested in it, but it is interested in YOU. We may have no choice in the matter if Old Vlad decides he is a direct threat to Eastern Europe, Great Britain, and yes, the United States.

Nobody I know wants another protracted conflict with Russia. But we may have no other choice if we want the world to remain stable, and if we want to remain a free society.
