The hypocrisy of the Left and the Democrats never ceases to amaze me.
Their unending mantra so far this election season has been the demonization of the Koch Brothers for supporting financially Republicans and Conservative candidates. Sen. Harry Reid (D-NV) has been most vocal, even after it was discovered he had taken money from them.
Now the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC) has gotten into the fray headlining their website with:
They are after Republican Michigan U.S. Senate candidate Terri Lynn Land whose opponent is current Democrat Rep. Gary Peters and accuse her of “following Kochs’ orders.”
Aside from being a lie its a desperate attempt to keep the senate seat being vacated by Carl Levin (D) and is full of hypocrisy.
Tom Steyer is a billionaire hedge fund manager and radical environmentalist. According to a story in the Detroit News (wonder of all wonders) he’s helping defend the Democrats’ senate seat to the tune of $400,000.
Peters, Reid and Al Gore met with Steyer back in February in San Francisco, and for those on either side of the aisle who think the Kochs or George Soros are one of the biggest political donors, think again:
Steyer ranks as the biggest donor to SuperPACs, ahead of the Koch Brothers and even the Democratic mega-funder George Soros. He’s pledged to spend $100 million this year to elect liberals who will support his agenda of wiping out coal plants, the internal combustion engine and oil and gas drilling.
Interesting that shortly after the meeting Obama announced an indefinite delay to the Keystone Pipeline, which Steyer vehemently opposes.
Peters, Harry Reid, the Democrats and the rest of the Left now need to explain their courting of a billionaire for political gain while at the same time demonizing Republicans for accepting money from the Koch brothers.
