“When I signed up to be the vice chair of the DNC, no one told me I would be relinquishing my freedom of speech and checking it at the door.” Those are the words of Hawaii Democratic Representative Tulsi Gabbard in a telephone interview with the New York Times. Representative Gabbard claims that she was disinvited from the first Democratic presidential debate by DNC chairperson Debbie Wasserman Schultz after the former appeared on MSNBC and called for more sanctioned Democratic presidential debates.
