Stanford University is a highly prestigious institution. It had better be, considering that it costs a staggering $67,291 per year for an undergraduate to attend. Although that is a lot of money, it may be worth it for all the doors that magically open for someone with a Stanford degree. What does it take to get into a school like Stanford these days? Ziad Ahmed demonstrates:
Ahmed was filling out his application for Stanford University when he came across a question which he was told to answer in 100 words or less: “What matters to you, and why?” …
The senior at Princeton Day School in Princeton, New Jersey, believed his answer spoke for itself, and so he decided to write that and only that —#BlackLivesMatter — 100 times.
Ahmed’s response to the question showed that he is exactly the sort of student our top universities want: a shallow, childish fool whose thought process apparently consists of mindlessly repeating far left shibboleths over and over again, like Shia LaBeouf belligerently shouting “He will not divide us!” That on top of being a “marginalized” Bangladeshi-American Muslim practically guarantees admission.
One problem is that accepting students on this basis will contribute to the increasingly conspicuous decay of higher education. Soon degrees from supposedly top flight schools won’t open so many doors. People will be less willing to go neck deep into debt to obtain them. No wonder Democrats want the taxpayer to pick up the tab for tuition.
