The Able To Not Be – That Feeling In The Pit Of Your Stomach

Hello Fans of The Heavy Stuff. Many thanks to the nearly 900 of you who have signed up to become users on THS. Wow. I haven’t had a chance to make you all into an `opt-in’ list but will be trying to do so – please say yes when asked. LOL.
Today’s post has its inspiration in an event almost 8 months or so ago when I was in downtown Atlanta. Indeed, I was in a big name high rise hotel on about the 40th floor of the flat a person was living in. One could walk out onto the balcony which literally went `around the corner’ of this edge of the building apartment. (The person lived in the hotel.)
What was most striking about the balcony was that the `top’ railing of what you were looking over was about chest high to me. I could EASILY just look over the edge – straight down about 400 feet. That vertigo feeling immediately swooning over me, and I assume anyone looking downward. Anyone looking downward and IMAGINING that they COULD HAVE INTENTIONS which would end their life.
Indeed, I am of the opinion that THAT GUT FEELING that is felt at such a height is actually MORE than `just being scared’. I am of the opinion that ones mind temporarily `activates’ the `able to not be’ intention of `jumping’ or `moving ones space’ in such a manner that `activates the impossible’ of rationality. The able to not be spaces of rationality. Literally life changing spaces.
In my opinion, the feeling may be compelling — and perhaps accounts for those that …..
