Herodes Magnus: From Clackamas To Childermas
FROM CLACKAMAS TO CHILDERMAS
Even before people were contemplating their mortality because of a Mayan prophecy there was an old axiom that held on to the idea that Christmas time was a time that held all time together. It is said that the hopes and fears of all the years are met at the time of the solstice.
Christmas has been said to be set aside for the children. They are what light up our world. They are what give us hope. However I do recall an article I had published more than a year ago that got me into some hot water. It was an article where I talked about how there is a time during the solstice where we are to think back on the deaths of innocent children.
Anciently, the children were always made to suffer in the times of Saturnalia and the solstice and there are many true stories and myths that are forgotten in history because it is just not something you dwell on during the winter season. We have tinsel to hang, trees to trim and presents to open. However, we must not forget the nativity and one part of it where innocent children are slaughtered because of the power struggles of a tyrant named King Herod. This is recognized every year during Childermas or the feast for the innocents.
The Bible shapes the popular conception we now have of Herod as a King who was proud of his title of Herod the Great and would do anything to keep it.
If the soothsayers of the time were correct, the birth of a new King of the Jews was imminent and threatened Herod’s position. In the massacre of newborn babies of Bethlehem found in the Nativity story, King Herod is portrayed as a tyrant prepared to kill infants who could eventually challenge him.
King Herod was the king of what was called a client state, that is he was under the direction of his puppet masters he would make outrageous laws, and expedient executive decisions. He ordered the deaths of the babies because of what he was told by the Magi when they came to visit him.
Herod was the perfect example of a leader that would do anything, even turn on his own people in order to fulfill an agenda of his puppet masters.
There have been countless times in our history where we have decided to send young men to war to fight because some horrible dictator has been massacring his own people to bring about his agendas. I recall this argument with the first gulf war and our fight against Saddam Hussein.
Now, with the Syrian military fighting to maintain control of Damascus there has been this looming fear around the world that Syrian President Bashar Assad is losing his power and may use chemical weapons against his own people in a last-ditch effort to maintain his power.
I guess it is easy to see that dictators like to use weapons on their own people in order to remain in power and to push agendas that take away civil rights.
In the United States it is becoming counterproductive to point the finger at so called violent Middle Eastern countries when the violence seems to be in our own back yard. We are being told that the threat is always “over there” and now it can be said that the threat is now here.
In times of great tragedy there are a minority of people who will chastise those who question why the tragedies have happened. They demand that empathy and prayers need to be given and that with a national tragedy we are to pay attention to our own leaders for guidance and believe the “spin” we receive with regards to home grown terror that has an agenda.
The agenda is to secure the resolve of the police state and dictatorial rule.
The United States is now like Iraq and Syria as we now have to mourn the loss of our children and our neighbors at the hands of masked gunmen that are propped up as the menace and are used as poster children for the disarmament of those in America that wish to honor their 2nd amendment rights.
The sadness is overwhelming the hatred that is forming is becoming more frightening by the day and the decline in America can be measured by how far we have strayed from our constitutional beginnings.
If we stop and listen to what Barack Obama is saying now in the aftermath of the massacre that took place in Connecticut we can only speculate that the agenda of a political ideology and the broken-hearted country will probably rule in favor of gun control and the changing of the second amendment.
Barack Obama spoke in Newtown after the Sandy Hook Elementary school shooting where 28 people were killed, 20 of them were children and put the American people in a suspended state of “what shall we do?”. Adults began weeping loudly while others were holding children as Obama used scripture and direct questioning as to what decision he should make so things like this never happen again.
“We can’t tolerate this anymore, these tragedies must end. And to end them, we must change,” Obama said at the podium holding back what looked like staged anger.
Then came the political exploitation:
It is as if the sword was drawn against the children like it was 2000 years ago and the power elite are going to exploit it for their own gain. In the traditional Roman style they decision goes to the people when they have been whittled down to grief as children are now sacrificial lambs and the parents are left to be the scapegoats for more human rights being taken away.
The shootings that have occurred in Clackamas and the new Childermas in Connecticut have done more than broken our hearts it has sealed with a blood a deep betrayal. It now will be an act of regressive law making and constitutional gerrymandering in order to force America into forgetting what it stands for.
I have warned my audience for the past year that there has been a preparation for the militarized spiritualism and statism of the United States. I was always told that I was fear mongering and that it would never lead to anything.
The Department of Homeland security had bought up some 1.6 billion rounds of hollow point ammunition, It was said that they had bought enough ammunition to fire 5 rounds into every living American citizen.
We always wondered why and now we can only imagine.
It has been a struggle to get the truth out about the massacre in Connecticut and the Clackamas shooting has all but faded away. In fact, it was even overlooked when the president spoke in Newtown.
I worry that it was because the death toll wasn’t high enough or that there was a man in the mall that had a concealed weapon that he wanted to use but couldn’t get a clear shot on the gunman.
There simply wasn’t enough dead in Oregon to make it into the politically charged speech that was supposed to give comfort.
The Connecticut shootings have also become an ugly exercise in first amendment revocation as the Police there warned that they would prosecute anyone who posts in a social network anything that would jeopardize their investigation.
There is also the fear and guilt factor that comes into play as those who question the clichéd narrative are told that they are insensitive and should stop with all of the conspiracy theories.
America it seems is poised to have a collective breakdown and as we reel from the trauma, the politics of gun laws and restrictions will pass under the table and soon we will see what that will lead to.
