Poltergeist forces Memphis family out of home
Almost everyone loves a scary movie.
But when it happens in real life, it’s not so much fun.
“We bought a home and we just had really strange things happen in it,” Mary Dacus said. “We discounted it as maybe it was just part of our imagination.
Steve and Mary Dacus were literally forced out of their new home in East Memphis by a ghostly presence.
“The first sign that we had was when my husband heard a voice of a woman call out to him, “Well, hello there,’ when he let the dogs out,” Mary recalled.
The Dacuses lived in a house in Berclair for three years, and to all outward appearances it would appear to be just your typical East Memphis home.
The reality is, it was far, far from that.
Illuminated spheres soon appeared.
“They were outside in the backyard and some of them were lighter than others some were really dark or really bright, I should say,” Mary said. “They had a trail. Those were the ones we were concerned about, because they were emitting their own light. They were really bright, almost a full moon bright and they were everywhere – like it was snowing.
