Freezing temperatures are threatening the lives of tens of thousands of Palestinians in the war-ravaged Gaza Strip.
International aid agencies are warning that severe weather condition is mainly causing difficulty for those whose homes were devastated during Israel’s 50-day war in summer. The bitter cold weather has already claimed four lives, including three infants in the past few days. Gaza officials are warning that more people could die as tens of thousands are still displaced, waiting for money to rebuild their homes. About one-hundred thousand homes were demolished during the Israeli offensive.
