More people lose their lives in Syria as the army continues to fight foreign-backed militants across the Arab country.
Based on a report by the so-called Syrian Observatory group, at least 40 people were killed in the main northern city of Aleppo in the past two days. The London-based group says all the victims were civilians and killed in separate incidents during exchange of fire between the two sides. Aleppo has been gripped in fighting since 20-12 with government forces in control of western neighborhoods and the militants controlling the east.
