Iraqi security forces drive ISIL terrorists out of Baiji refinery – YouTube
A military commander in Iraq’s Salahuddin province says security forces have driven ISIL terrorists out of Baiji refinery that’s the biggest refinery in the country.
Earlier, Iraqi ground forces entered the refinery, amid heavy clashes with ISIL terrorists who had been surrounding it. The terrorists conducted a large-scale attack on Baiji refinery days ago, briefly taking over a small part of it. The complex, however, has remained under the government control. Meanwhile, the government has sent military reinforcements to Ramadi to block ISIL’s advance there. Ramadi is the capital city of the western province of Anbar, and is an ISIL stronghold. Hundreds have fled the city amid heavy fighting.
