Late last week the press threw a gotcha question about abortion at Senator Rand Paul and he responded by challenging them to get an answer from Democratic National Committee chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz.
“Here’s the deal—we always seen to have the debate waaaaay over here on what are the exact details of exemptions, or when it starts,” said Paul, waving his hands to the left. “Why don’t we ask the DNC: Is it okay to kill a seven-pound baby in the uterus? You go back and you ask Debbie Wasserman Schultz if she’s OK with killing a seven-pound baby that is not born yet. Ask her when life begins, and you ask Debbie when it’s okay to protect life. When you get an answer from Debbie, get back to me.”
She responded and made it clear that she wants no restrictions on abortion.
Lifenews – “Here’s an answer,” said Schultz. “I support letting women and their doctors make this decision without government getting involved. Period. End of story. Now your turn, Senator Paul. We know you want to allow government officials like yourself to make this decision for women — but do you stand by your opposition to any exceptions, even when it comes to rape, incest, or life of the mother? Or do we just have different definitions of ‘personal liberty’? And I’d appreciate it if you could respond without ’shushing’ me.”
This answer from her should not be surprising since it echoes the Democratic Party’s platform.
Protecting A Woman’s Right to Choose. The Democratic Party strongly and unequivocally supports Roe v. Wade and a woman’s right to make decisions regarding her pregnancy, including a safe and legal abortion, regardless of ability to pay. We oppose any and all efforts to weaken or undermine that right. Abortion is an intensely personal decision between a woman, her family, her doctor, and her clergy; there is no place for politicians or government to get in the way. We also recognize that health care and education help reduce the number of unintended pregnancies and thereby also reduce the need for abortions. We strongly and unequivocally support a woman’s decision to have a child by providing affordable health care and ensuring the availability of and access to programs that help women during pregnancy and after the birth of a child, including caring adoption programs.
So basically, the Democrats are in favor of abortion on demand at anytime right up to the second before the baby is born. The baby could be full term but the Democrats still think it would be okay to kill it. And if the woman can’t pay for her own abortion, you, the taxpayer, will be expected to foot the bill. I cannot imagine a greater evil in our world than thinking it is just fine to kill a baby right up until moments before the baby would have been born.
What happened to the days when the Democrats said they favored abortion being safe, legal and rare? Now it seems the Democrats want as many abortions as possible to happen and abortion activists actually get upset when a woman is talked out of having an abortion.
I have said it before in several other posts and I will say it again now. No true Christian could ever be in favor of abortion. No true Christian could ever support candidates who are in favor of abortion. Sure, there have been Democrats who claimed to be prolife but I would never vote for them, either. If you’re a member of the Democratic Party then you belong to an organization that champions killing babies and you are supporting evil. No Democrat will ever get my vote. Ever.
Now let’s look at a few numbers that put it all in perspective. The total number of deaths for all of America’s wars is 1,321,612. The total number of abortions just in the United States since Roe vs Wade is 57,801,948 as of this writing. That’s forty-three times more abortions than the total number of war dead in all of our nation’s history. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, 51% of our population is female, so if the percentages are the same for aborted babies that means that there have been 29,478,993 females aborted since Roe vs Wade in 1973.
In recent years the Democrats and the media have all claimed that the Republicans are waging a war on women. From Romney’s “binders full of women” to the ridiculous notion that Republicans want to take away women’s health care, it’s become a staple in the Democratic playbook to assign to the Republicans what they are actually doing themselves – waging war on women.
With approximately 29,478,993 females killed, the Democratic Party’s war on women is having great effect. But as long as this savagery is allowed, it will always be a war the Democrats lose. And the sad part of it is that our country also loses. But the Democrats don’t care about that anymore than they care about dead babies. Evil. Pure evil.
