On May 8th, 2015, Dr. Cornel West spoke at the University of Winnipeg at the Inaugural Axworthy Distiguished Lecture.
In
this video Dr. Cornel West talks about Virture vs. Brute Force,
integrity vs. oppression and the problems across the board from
Baltimore to Ferguson to Winnipeg itself.
His philosophical speech
was very enlightening. He was nice enough to do an interview with us
afterwards which can be found on our channel.
During much of his
speech, his friend Chris Hedges was in the audience. The event was
emceed by Wab Kinew and Dr. West was introduced by Dr. Carlos Colorado.
