An Iranian cargo ship carrying humanitarian aid for the Yemeni people has docked in Djibouti.

The ship dubbed ‘Nejat’, or Rescue, was originally meant to go to Yemen’s western port of Hudaydah on Thursday. The vessel which is chartered by Iran’s Red Crescent Society is carrying 25-hundred tons of food and medical supplies. International activists, volunteer doctors and media personnel are also on board the ship. Iran has coordinated the dispatch of humanitarian aid to Yemen with the United Nations.
