ISIL Calls Back Militants in Anbar to Redeploy in Defensive Positions
TEHRAN (FNA)- ISIL troops have gone on the defensive after the flow of a large number of Iraqi troops and popular forces to Anbar province and the repulsion of the terrorist attacks on the Eastern parts of the city of Fallujah.
The ISIL terrorists have started planting mines and booby-traps in all roads, streets and even residential buildings in Fallujah to slow down the rapid advance of the Iraqi troops.
Tens of ISIL terrorists, including several high-ranking commanders, have been killed as a result of missile attacks of Ashura Battalion forces on ISIL’s strongholds on Sunday.
The Iraqi forces have also gained control over Al-Hasiba Police Station and also the main gas station of Albu Hamid region.
On Saturday, the Iraqi army dispatched five regiments of its rapid reaction forces to Al-Habaniyah military base in Eastern al-Ramadi in Anbar province to intensify the attack on the ISIL.
“The rapid reaction forces will join other army units and popular forces from al-Habaniyah to Khalediya in the campaign against the ISIL terrorists,” member of al-Anbar Governor’s Office Azal al-Fahdavi said on Saturday.

Syria in Last 24 Hours: Army Inflicts Heavy Losses on Terrorists in Idlib
TEHRAN (FNA)- The Syrian warplanes pounded the terrorists’ strongholds in the countryside of Idlib in Northwestern Syria, inflicting heavy losses on them.
The Syrian jet fighters carried out strikes against terrorist groups in al-Kfeir town, Southern Jisr al-Shughour city, Bishlamoun and Eshtabraq in Idlib province, killing tens of the terrorists and destroying their arms depot, a military source said.
The Syrian air force also destroyed the terrorists’ strongholds in Tal al-Tibat, al-Sheir Diba and Hallouz in Idlib countryside.
Also in the past 24 hours, the Syrian army started fresh rounds of operations against the terrorist groups’ positions in the strategic province of Damascus, and killed or wounded scores of the fighters.
Military sources told the FNA that over 30 terrorists, including foreign nationals from Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Jordan and Tunisia were killed in the army’s offensives in Douma.
The sources went on to say that the army men also raided the militants’ strongholds in the nearby areas of Haratsa, Jobar, Ayn Tarma, and Erbin, and pushed the rebels back from their positions.
Meantime, the Syrian Army, in a series of heavy street clashes with the rebels, pushed the fighters back from their positions, and advanced in various neighborhoods of the Aleppo city.
Military sources said that bloody street clashes between the army commandoes and the rebels erupted in several neighborhoods, including Air Force Academy, Bani Zaid, al-Zebdiye, al-Mansoura, Kafr Hamra, al-Fardous, Andan, al-Asrafiye, al-Sha’ar in Aleppo city, which resulted in the killing or wounding of tens of the militants.
The sources added that the army has now better monitoring position over the city.
Also, the Syrian army made more gains in its fight against Al-Nusra Front in nearby areas of Quneitra and Daraa provinces, inflicting heavy casualties on the terrorist group.
The Syrian soldiers struck a heavy blow at al-Nusra terrorists in the areas of Tal Mas’hara and al-Samadaniyeh al-Gharbiyeh in the Southern Quneitra province, killing and injuring scores of them.
Elsewhere in Syria, the al-Nusra terrorists suffered major losses in the areas of al-Mesmia, al-Lajat, and Daraa al-Balad as the army pressed ahead with its military campaign against the terrorist group in Daraa province.
Meantime, the Syrian armed forces targeted the ISIL terrorists’ strongholds in the surrounding areas of Salam al-Qarbi in the Central Homs province, and forced the fighters to retreat from their positions, military sources announced.
The sources said that several members of the ISIL terrorist group were killed or wounded in the army’s operations in the Eastern countryside of Homs city, in Salam al-Qarbi.
The sources added that the army men are now fortifying their new position in the abovementioned battlefield.
Meantime, the Syrian army and the Lebanese Hezbollah resistance fighters made significant gains in Qalamoun in Damascus countryside and took control over strategic hilltops of Jord Flita (Flita Mountain).
The army units and Hezbollah regained control of Jabal Salajah South of Jord Flita, killing a large number of Al-Nusra Front terrorists in fierce clashes.
Jabal Salajah is the second highest hilltop in Jord Flita in Al-Qalamoun area after Jabal al-Moussa.
The Hezbollah fighters are now only less than four kilometers away from Arsal Mountains in Eastern Lebanon.
The Syrian army and Hezbollah fighters have succeeded in gaining control over 70 percent of Jord Flita.
