Part of the USA PATRIOT act ensured NSA could check up on conversations foreigners were having, that involved data passing into America, by going to the FISA courts and getting a warrant. After 9/11, when terrorist cells came here and murdered many Americans, we understood the need for that.
Well, some Republicans remembered, but Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) 80% forgot, and it sounds like Paul won.
I wonder if the Islamic State will send flowers to thank him.

I’ve been criticized in the past for saying copyright is too long, and has been made too strong. I get called weird and squishy for saying the copyright lengths and limits put in place by the founders are probably closer to what we need, than what we have now. Well when you don’t even own your own car anymore because of copyright, maybe people will believe me.
Looks like Michelle Malkin agrees with me on patents. Obama’s reforms were awful, and more comprehensive reform is a bad idea.
Governor Hogan in Maryland has been doing some nice things, like reducing tolls. Sad to hear he’s possibly going to raise some taxes in order to pick winners and losers.
