Christopher Lee RIP

The great British actor Christopher Lee has died at the age of 93. He was one of my favorite actors of all time epitomized the well education, well mannered British artist/actor of the Mid to late 20th century. Christopher Lee also had good/solid political views, as much as could be hoped for in an actor trying to get decent Hollywood acting parts – which he did, including his last major role of Sauraman the White wizard turned traitor in Lord of the Rings movies.

My favorite Christopher Lee movie was the original British film “the Wickerman”. Christopher Lee played the leading role of Lord Summerisle, who was the leader of a bizarre private Scottish Island that had reverted to Celtic paganism – “Give me that old time religion”.

Maybe his soul has been reincarnated and is with us again.
