Gaystapo Continues Assault On Christianity

gay-approvalI’ve written numerous posts here in the last few years about the homosexual assault on Christianity and the success the Gaystapo is having with chipping away at the First Amendment right to the free exercise of religion.  Conservative Christianity is all that stands between them and the complete mainstreaming of their abominable lifestyles.  They have even acknowledged this fact.  Naturally, the Gaystapo will use every resource possible in their assault on conservative Christianity.  Every day it seems like there is something new that is being done somewhere in our country to further the homosexual war on Christianity.  With the Supreme Court’s legalization of homosexual marriage the assaults have been increasing.  I have no doubt it will get worse.  Let’s look at some of the things they have been up to lately.

If you’ve been reading my blog very long then you are well aware of the bakers in Oregon who found themselves under attack by the Oregon Bureau of Labor over their declining to bake a wedding cake for two lesbians.  And I will add that homosexual marriage was not yet legal in Oregon at the time.  Nevertheless, Aaron and Melissa Klein had a discrimination complaint filed on them by the lesbians, who claimed a plethora of horrible things were all caused by the Kleins, including “impaired digestion,” “migraine headaches,” “pale and sick at home after work,” “resumption of smoking habit,” “weight gain,” “acute loss of confidence,” and just plain old “worry.”  The Gaystapo’s Heimrich Himmler, also known as Oregon’s Bureau of Labor & Industries Commissioner Brad Avarkian, decided that the Kleins declining to bake a cake was worth $135,000 that he ordered they pay to the two lesbians.  Last week the Bureau sent a demand letter to the Kleins telling them that they had until this week to come up with the cash or they faced having a lien placed on their house.  The Gaystapo will not be happy until the Kleins are living out of their car.  And at that point, they’ll go after the car.

A man in Michigan is suing the Bible publishers Zondervan and Thomas Nelson for $70 million, alleging that the Bible verses condemning homosexuality as sinful violates his constitutional rights and causes him “emotional distress.”  How nice of him to admit that the Bible condemns homosexuality as sinful.  Some homosexuals will not admit that it does.  This lawsuit may sound ridiculous, but when you think about it you’ll realize that somewhere out there is a leftist judge who would go along with this drivel.  This lawsuit is a classic example of the homosexual thinking.  It’s not enough that homosexual marriage is legalized.  It’s not enough that bakers, photographers, florists, wedding venues, etc are no longer able to conduct business under Christian principles without facing financial ruin.  It’s not enough that the White House is lit up in the homosexual rainbow colors (an abomination of God’s rainbow after the flood) on the day of the Supreme Court ruling.  The goal of the Gaystapo is to completely remove all opposition.  They preach tolerance and acceptance but they don’t practice it themselves.  The only tolerance and acceptance they want is to destroy religious freedom and force everyone to bow down to their extremist rules.  All dissent must be eradicated.

Perhaps this man in Michigan could avail himself of the opportunity to aquire the new homosexual version of the bible.  Dubbed the “Queen James Bible” it has been rewritten to change verses condemning homosexuality as sin.  Now we can’t have that, people being told their sinful acts are sinful!  The people responsible for this blasphemy promote it on their website, saying, “The Queen James Bible resolves any homophobic interpretations of the Bible…We wanted to make a book filled with the word of God that nobody could use to incorrectly condemn God’s LGBT children, and we succeeded.”  Here are examples of their blasphemy:

Leviticus 18:22

KJV: Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is an abomination.

QJV: Thou shalt not lie with mankind as with womankind in the temple of Molech: it is an abomination.

1 Corinthians 6:9

KJV: Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind.

QJV: Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor morally weak, nor promiscuous.

I wonder how it would be received by the homosexuals if Christians were to sue their publisher for $70 million for causing emotional distress.

The Boy Scouts of America have been bowing to the wishes of the homosexuals in recent years, and just this week they took the final step of announcing that they are lifting the ban against homosexual troop leaders.   This is a huge change for an organization that once went to court to fight “for the right to exclude a gay Scout leader on that basis that homosexual conduct was inconsistent with the organization’s religious beliefs and mission to inculcate values in young people.”   The Supreme Court ruled 5-4 that the BSA had the right to exclude homosexual troop leaders under the First Amendment right to freedom of association.   The Scout Motto says, “On my honor I will do my best to do my duty to God and my country and to obey the Scout Law; to help other people at all times; to keep myself physically strong, mentally awake, and morally straight.”  I fail to see how a homosexual troop leader could take such an oath about duty to God and being morally straight.  Homosexuality is inconsistent with the oath.  But much like our immigration laws, this will now be ignored.  An American institution for boys for more than one hundred years has now been conquered by the Gaystapo.

In Atlanta, Mayor Kasim Reed fired Fire Chief Kelvin Cochran after homosexual activists learned of a book Cochran had authored and demanded he be fired.  The book, titled “Who Told You That You Were Naked?” is a men’s devotional book Cochran wrote for a Baptist church group.  In the book he wrote about homosexuality, gay marriage and premarital sex from a biblical perspective.  First the Mayor suspended him and ordered him to undergo sensitivity training, then he fired him, saying, “I profoundly disagree with and am deeply disturbed by the sentiments expressed in the paperback regarding the LGBT community. I will not tolerate discrimination of any kind within my administration.”  Cochran has filed a federal lawsuit against the city of Atlanta, alleging that he was wrongfully terminated and was discriminated against due to his Christian beliefs.

So a man can write a book for a church group, which has nothing to do with his employment, and be fired because he correctly labels homosexuality to be sin.  How long before such terminations become common place?  Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito may have foretold our future in his dissent from the majority’s ruling in the Obergefell case, which legalized homosexual marriage.

CNSNews – In his dissent from the Supreme Court’s 5-4 decision in Obergefell v. Hodges, which declared that same-sex marriage is a right, Justice Samuel Alito said the court had falsely likened opposition to same-sex marriage to racism and that its decision “will be used to vilify Americans unwilling to assent to the new orthodoxy.”

Alito warned that in the wake of the court’s ruling, Americans who dare to publicly express views in favor the traditional understanding that marriage is between a man and a woman will risk recrimination.

“I assume that those who cling to old beliefs will be able to whisper their thoughts in the recesses of their homes, but if they repeat those views in public, they will risk being labeled as bigots and treated as such by governments, employers, and schools,” Alito wrote.

“By imposing its own views on the entire country,” he said, “the majority facilitates the marginalization of the many Americans who have traditional ideas.”

Churches in general are also in the crosshairs, with media activists calling for an end to tax-exempt status for churches and religions institutions.

Baptist Press – The tax-exempt status of churches and other Christian organizations could be one front in the continuing struggle related to LGBT rights. Two days following the Supreme Court ruling, TIME published an op-ed article arguing that tax exemptions should be removed from “organizations that dissent from settled public policy on matters of race or sexuality.”

TIME writer Mark Oppenheimer, who also writes a biweekly column for The New York Times, argued that exempting churches from taxes is equivalent to providing them with government subsidies — in effect, forcing citizens to fund their religious viewpoints.

Denny Burk, professor of biblical studies at Boyce College, responded in a Federalist article that “the real intent of removing tax-exempt status is to cripple the institutions that continue their dissent from the sexual revolution.” Churches in urban areas would be “immediately vulnerable” in the event of a tax exemption loss because they would be liable to hefty property taxes on their real estate settings.

“Legal gay marriage is not the endgame for the gay-rights movement,” Burk wrote. “It never was. Moral approval is the endgame. The agenda is not tolerance for different beliefs and lifestyles. The agenda is a demand that everyone get on board with the moral revolution or be punished. That means if you or your church won’t get with the program, then the revolutionaries will endeavor to close you down.”

David Roach, author of the column for the Baptist Press, is exactly correct.  Legalizing gay marriage was just the first step.  The long-term goal is to shut down churches, marginalize and silence Christians and raise the homosexual rainbow flag over the abandoned buildings that used to be churches and were seized by the government for non-payment of property taxes.

Turning to the military now, homosexual activists are calling for Christian chaplains who oppose homosexual marriage to be kicked out of the United States Armed Forces.

Christian Today – In a strongly worded opinion piece published on the Daily Kos website following the Supreme Court decision allowing same-sex marriage throughout the country, Mikey Weinstein of the Military Religious Freedom Foundation (MRFF) even described chaplains who practise their Christian faith and object to homosexuality as “losers.”

In his editorial piece, Weinstein said “the only honourable thing that these losers can do is to fold up their uniforms, turn in their papers, and get the [expletive] out of the American military chaplaincy.”

“If they are unwilling or too cowardly to do so, then the Department of Defense must expeditiously cleanse itself of the intolerant filth that insists on lingering in the ranks of our armed forces,” he added.

Weinstein and others like him aren’t getting the response they want from the military, with Brig. General Doug Lee,  chairman of the executive committee for the Chaplain Alliance for Religious Liberty, saying that such remarks are “hardly worth responding to.”

But before you dismiss Weinstein completely, consider this article of a Navy Chaplain who was ordered by a base commander not to pray in the name of Jesus when delivering an invocation at a ceremony.  Or this article about two Baptist Chaplains who said they were forced out of a Veterans Affairs Chaplain training program when they refused orders to stop quoting Bible verses and praying in the name of Jesus.  No doubt there are other such instances.  How long before homosexual activists browbeat the military leadership enough to get their way and have Christian Chaplains kicked out of the military?

There can be no doubt the homosexual assault on Christianity is not only continuing unabated, but is increasing in fervor.  The homosexual activists are nothing if not consistent.  As more of our society acquiesces to the homosexual desire to be mainstreamed and more apostate churches affirm the heretical belief that homosexuality is not sinful, true Christianity will be more and more marginalized.

Religious liberty in America is a concept of our Founding Fathers that every person has the right and the opportunity to form beliefs and seek truth in harmony with one’s conscience.  That liberty is not limited to the privacy of our homes, but belongs to us wherever we are; in our homes, our businesses and certainly in our churches.  We have the liberty to live our lives and conduct ourselves in accordance with our faiths, without being told by groups or government entities that our religious liberty is ‘bigoted’ or ‘offensive’ and, therefore, must be curtailed.

There are many people working very hard to completely destroy that religious liberty.  The Gaystapo’s religion is abhorrent homosexuality and they will not stop until their religion reigns supreme and Christianity is nothing but a memory.
