Greek parliament to vote on bailout deal amid protests | 15 July 2015 | Protests against a harsh $96 billion bailout plan crippled the Greek capital Wednesday as Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras scrambled to find enough votes for parliament to pass the controversial package by a midnight deadline… Clashes erupted outside the parliament building where lawmakers were beginning to debate the measure late Wednesday as anti-authoritarian protesters tossed Molotov cocktails at police, who responded with tear gas. More than 15,000 demonstrators attended the rally at Syntagma Square, where only a minority of the large group participated in the brawl.
