Syrian Army Wins Back Strategic Town in Hama Province

The Syrian army backed by popular defense forces seized back a strategic town in Hama province on Sunday.

The army units took control of al-Karima town before starting their advances towards Sahl al-Qab region in Western Hama.

Al-Karima town is of strategic importance because it links the three provinces of Homs, Idlib and Lattakia.

The victory in Karima paves the way for the Syrian army to move towards Shal al-Qab region.

Last week, military sources said the Syrian warplanes targeted positions of the militant groups in Hama, and destroyed their logistical equipment.

The sources said that in addition to the high death toll of the rebels in al-Qastal, Hammadi Omar, al-Hadaj, Um Edoul and Eidoun, a long convoy of the rebels’ vehicles and a large depot of their weapons and ammunition were destroyed in the Syrian air attacks in the strategic Hama province.

The Syrian Army and government have defended their country against insurgents since 2011 when a huge number of foreign terrorists flocked to the Middle-Eastern country.

In spite of certain western states’ military and financial supports for the militants, the Syrian troops have been able to push them back from many areas across the country. Military estimates show the fall of militancy in Syria is not far

Commander: Iraqi Volunteer Forces to Chase ISIL in Syria

Iraq’s Volunteer Forces (Hashd al-Shaabi) underlined that they would continue fighting the ISIL Takfiri terrorist group even in the neighboring countries, including Syria.

“Imam Ali (PBUH) Battalions and Iraqi Volunteer Forces will never quit their fight against the ISIL in Iraq and will even do their best to purge the neighboring countries (such as Syria) … of Takfiri terrorists in a bid to prevent the return of the Takfiri terrorists to Iraq,” senior Hashd al-Shaabi Commander and Founder of Imam Ali Battalion Abu Ezrayeel told FNA on Sunday.

He underlined that the ISIL terrorists will be shocked by the volunteer forces’ operations in the coming days, and said, “The Takfiri terrorist groups have been formed under the auspices of the Zionist regime’s spy agency; hence what Jihad are they talking about. What these Takfiri militants, including the ISIL, are committing has nothing to do with Islam and everyone is duty-bound to fight the Takfiri militants.”

Abu Ezrayeel reiterated that the Iraqi volunteer Forces will have cooperation and will act in coordination with Syrian tribes and all resistance groups.

Hashd al-Shaabi, or Popular Mobilization Units, is an Iraqi state-sponsored umbrella organization composed of several, almost exclusively, Shiite militias with up to 100,000 members.

The ISIL group seized large parts of Iraq and Syria in 2014. On May 17, the ISIL took control of Ramadi, the capital of ISIL-dominated Western Anbar governorate, some 70 miles West of Baghdad.

Hashd al-Shaabi militiamen, along with the Iraqi Army and police, took part in the fight for Ramadi. The militia was also deployed in Baghdad to protect the Iraqi capital from a possible ISIL offensive.

Tranquility Restored to Western Aleppo, Tens of Terrorists Captured

The Syrian army managed to return tranquility to the Western part of Aleppo province and took captive 51 terrorists.

In their Saturday night attacks against militants’ positions in Jamiat al-Zahra district in Western Aleppo, the Syrian security forces made them withdraw from the buildings they had occupied recently.

According to early reports, the ISIL terrorists are now controlling only a little part of Jamiat al-Zahra region.

At present tranquility has returned to the region, with some sporadic clashes underway between the Syrian forces and the terrorists North of Rasoul A’zam mosque.

During the battles in Western Aleppo in the last 24 hours, the Syrian forces also captured 51 members of Savar al-Sham terrorist group.

In a relevant development on Saturday, the Syrian army thwarted a series of attacks by the Takfiri terrorists on a strategic region in Northern Aleppo province.

The Jeish al-Islam terrorists in three convoys of vehicles were trying to attack a strategic region in Western Aleppo, but they failed.

Aleppo has been the scene of heavy clashes between the terrorists and the Syrian troops in the last several days.

The Takfiri terrorists intended to seize the strategic region of Jamiat al-Zahra in the Western parts of Aleppo city to pave their way to the city center.

Tens of terrorists, including several commanders, have been killed and dozens more injured during the past 48 hours in the Western Aleppo.

On Friday, hundreds of the ISIL terrorists were killed and scores of others sustained serious injuries after Syrian warplanes pounded the Takfiri group’s positions in Aleppo city.

According to local reports, the Syrian fighter jets targeted the militant hideouts in the troubled city and claimed the lives of more than 100 terrorists.

The reports added the strikes also left several ISIL compounds and ammunition depots destroyed across the area.

The aerial attacks were carried out after ISIL militants fired hundreds of rockets and shells into at least seven government-held areas of Aleppo late on Thursday.

Syrian Army, Hezbollah Advancing in Western Zobdani

The Syrian army and the Lebanese Hezbollah forces continued their advances in the Western parts of the town of al-Zobdani on Sunday.

Al-Zobdani is now the scene of fierce clashes between the Syrian and Lebanese forces and militants of Jeish al-Fath terrorist group.

The Syrian air force and artillery units started pounding the terrorists’ positions as the country’s troops are advancing on the ground.

The Syrian troops and resistance forces gained full control over the strategic region of al-Jamiat on Saturday night.

Also yesterday, the Syrian army and the resistance forces intensified their attacks against the Takfiri terrorists’ positions in al-Zobdani.

The army and Hezbollah forces have gained control over main parts of the city, but clashes are underway in several parts of the city.

Al-Zobdani is located on the Eastern foothills of the Lebanese mountains and is currently under control of Al-Nusra Front and Ahrar al-Sham terrorists.

On Wednesday, the Syrian army and the resistance forces started fresh operations against the Jeish al-Fath terrorists in Al-Qalamoun region by advancing towards the town of al-Zobdani.

Syria in Last 24 Hours: Army Wins Back Strategic Region in Hasaka

The Syrian army and popular forces seized back a strategic region in the Northeastern city of Hasaka from the ISIL terrorists.

The army and Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG) forces managed to mop up Al-Layla district in the Northeastern part of Hasaka from the terrorist groups.

Following the tough resistance shown by the army and popular forces in the past few days, Al-Layla district was taken back and the ISIL terrorists retreated.

Also in the past 24 hours, dozens of foreign-backed Takfiri militants were killed in military operations targeting their positions in the Syrian province of Lattakia, Western Syria, FNA dispatches said.

“Over 110 Al-Nusra terrorists, most of them non-Syrians, were killed in the Syrian army’s operations in the village of Shalaf,” a Syrian military source told FNA.

The army destroyed a number of hideouts of the Al-Nusra terrorists in Shalaf village 50 kilometers away from the city of Lattakia.

Meantime, the ISIL Takfiri terrorist group conducted a suicide attack against the rival Al-Nusra Front in the province of Idlib in Northwestern Syria, killing tens of militants and injuring dozens more.

Over 60 Al-Nusra Front terrorists were killed in ISIL’s suicide attack on Salem mosque in Ariha region.

“Abu Hazifeh al-Tunesi, the commander of the Al-Nusra Front in Ariha region, was among the terrorists killed in Salem mosque,” a Syrian military source said.

Also, the Syrian army with the support of the Lebanese Hezbollah resistance movement stormed the town of al-Zobdani in Southwestern Syria, near the border with Lebanon, and retook control over it, a military source confirmed.

The source said that the operations of the Syrian army and Hezbollah fighters to retake the town, which is located just 15 miles Northwest of Damascus, began on Saturday morning and was accompanied by airstrikes and artillery shelling against the rebels’ positions. A few hours later, the town was taken under control of the Syrian government, the sources told Sputnik.

Elsewhere, a senior commander of the ISIL Takfiri terrorist group fighting against the government forces in Deir Ezzur province, Eastern Syria, fled to neighboring Turkey.

“Amer al-Naklavi nicknamed Abu Mohammad fled Deir Ezzur into neighboring Turkey,” local sources told FNA.

Al-Naklavi was commander of Jund al-Rahman terrorists group in the Eastern parts of Deir Ezzur province.

Meantime, the Syrian army thwarted a series of attacks by the Takfiri terrorists on a strategic region in Northern Aleppo province.

The Jeish al-Islam terrorists in three convoys of vehicles were trying to attack a strategic region in Western Aleppo, but they failed.

Aleppo has been the scene of heavy clashes between the terrorists and the Syrian troops in the last several days.

The Takfiri terrorists intend to seize the strategic region of Jamiat al-Zahra in the Western parts of Aleppo city to pave their way to the city center.

Also, the Syrian army continued its military operations in Northwestern Syria, and seized back several regions from the Takfiri terrorists.

The army units backed by the national defense and tribal forces regained control of al-Zahour and al-Shababi regions in the Southern parts of Hasaka.

The Syrian forces also took back control over the villages of Souda Abd, Qabr al-Abd and Gheirat to the West of Kazvan mountain from the ISIL.

Meantime, popular protests increased in terrorist-held areas in Damascus province.

People continued their protests against the Takfiri terrorists in Eastern Ghouta for the 10th consecutive day on Saturday.

People poured to the streets of the town of Hamouriya in Eastern Ghouta and rallied against the presence of terrorist groups in their town.

Several people were arrested by terrorist groups in the town.

Similar protests have also been held in other parts of Syria over past few days.

Also the cities of Idlib, Bensh and Kafroumeh in the province of Idlib were the scenes of popular protests against the foreign-backed terrorists on Friday.

Over 5,500 Fresh Volunteers Join Iraq’s War on ISIL

Some 5,500 residents of Southern Iraq finished their military trainings to join the volunteer forces, known as Hashd al-Shaabi, for the fight against the ISIL terrorist group, Dhiqar Governor General Yahya al-Nasseri announced on Sunday.

“A sum of 5,583 Iraqi volunteer forces have completed their military training in the centers of Dhiqar province,” al-Nasseri said.

He also added that a sum of over 30,000 volunteer forces have already received military training in Dhiqar’s military training centers.

Early last month, 15,000 fresh volunteer forces joined Hashd al-Shaabi.

“At least 15,000 volunteers from the Dhiqar province and the capital city of Naseriah have joined the Hashd al-Shaabi gunmen and will take up arms against the ISIL,” Naman Ibrahimi, a representative of the province’s security committee said.

Hashd al-Shaabi, or Popular Mobilization Units, is an Iraqi state-sponsored umbrella organization composed of several, almost exclusively, Shiite militias with up to 100,000 members.

On Saturday, 500 Sunni Iraqis from different tribes of the Western province of al-Anbar joined the army and the popular forces to defend the country against the ISIL terrorist group.

Al-Mesri al-Youm news website quoted Colonel Mohammad Jaloub, one of the commanders of military operations against the ISIL in Anbar, as saying that the trainings of 500 Sunni Iraqis have ended.

According to him, the Sunni volunteers are from different tribes of Anbar province and have ended their trainings in al-Habaniya camp in Eastern Ramadi.

“The cadets will be supplied with necessary weapons by the Iraqi government in the next few days and they will be sent to the battlefront to drive out the ISIL from Anbar,” Jaloub said.
