28 Militant Commanders Surrender to Syrian Army in Zabadani

Syria in Last 24 Hours: Army Advances in Aleppo Countryside

The Syrian army continued making gains in the countryside of Aleppo, and seized back many areas in fierce clashes with the terrorists.

The army units took back the surrounding areas of Aleppo Air Force Academy, including al-Ramouseh, al-Lirmoun, al-Mansoura, Kafir Hamra, Bani Zaid, Salah al-Din and Khan al-Assal.

Tens of terrorists were killed and many more wounded in heavy clashes with the Syrian troops.

Also in the past 24 hours, the Syrian popular defense forces killed over a dozen Jeish al-Fath Takfiri terrorists in heavy clashes in the Northwestern parts of Syria near the Turkish borders.

At least 15 Jeish al-Fath terrorists were killed in clashes with the popular forces in the town of Fuaa.

The Takfiri terrorists were trying to capture the popular forces’ positions from South, Southeastern and Southwestern sides of the town.

Meantime, the Syrian Army’s 63rd Brigade alongside the Lebanese Hezbollah and the National Defense Forces (NDF) have captured over 46 buildings along the road from the al-Jami’yat district to the city-center, leaving many militants from Ahrar al-Sham and al-Qaeda dead.

The sources said that the Zabadani Sugar Station and the Abu Mazen Villa are among the buildings recaptured by the Syrian army and Hezbollah.

Following their success at the al-Jami’yat district, the Syrian soldiers and Hezbollah fighters carried out a powerful assault on Nusra Front and Ahrar al-Sham’s positions to the East of the al-Zahra Mosque and the Castle, capturing more building blocks, while also killing 16 enemy combatants.

The strategic town of Zabadani is located 45 kilometers to the Northwest of the city of Damascus in the Southern parts of Al-Qalamoun region.

The Syrian army and Hezbollah fighters started fresh operations to win back Zabadani over three weeks ago.

Also, the Syrian Army’s 63rd Brigade and the Lebanese Hezbollah Resistance Movement have given the rebels of Ahrar Al-Sham and Al-Nusra Front a final ultimatum to fully surrender in the next 72 hours.

Elsewhere, military sources said that several militant commanders were killed in the Syrian Army’s operations in al-Noaimeh village, Dara’a al-Balad and the Southern parts of Dara’a province.

The sources said that Mohammad Shlash, the leader of the so-called Liwa al-Ansar, Ahmad Abu Jaish, the leader of the so-called Liwa Tafas Tanks, Amin al-Abboud, nicknamed “al-Laham”, the leader of the private operations of the so-called “Falloujet Horan squad” and the self-claimed leaders Hussein al-Joufeh, Diyaa al-Zitawi, Raghb Bashir al-Bakirat and the Jordanian terrorist Hamad Mowafq al-Ersawi were among the killed militants.

Meanwhile, the terrorist groups admitted on their social media websites the killing of terrorists al-Abboud and al-Zitawi.

Also, the Syrian Air Force targeted positions of the foreign-backed militants in several areas across Northwestern side of Hama, military sources said.

The sources said that the rebels’ gatherings in al-Mansoura village, Tal Wasit and Tal Zajram were massively pounded by the Syrian warplanes.

In the far north countryside of Hama, the airstrikes destroyed terrorists’ vehicles and killed a number of them in Kafar Zita.

The Syrian fighter jets also targeted the ISIL hideouts in Qassr Ibn Wardan East of Hama city, killing many of its members and destroying their weapons and ammunition.

Iraqi Policeman Kills 15 ISIL

The Iraqi defense ministry said that an Iraqi policeman stormed the hideout of a 15-member group of the ISIL terrorists in surrounding areas of Beiji in Salahuddin province and killed all members of the group.

“A member of the Iraq federal police have killed all fifteen members of a group of the ISIL militants and destroyed their 3 military vehicles in Beiji,” the ministry said.

On Sunday, the Iraqi Army countered the attacks of the ISIL Takfiri Terrorists in Beiji, in Salahuddin province, and killed or wounded several fighters.

“The Iraqi forces repelled an ISIL assault by a number of booby-trapped vehicles in the district of Beiji,” said the sources adding, “The attack comes to cover up the losses of the terrorist group in the Western province of Anbar.”

“The ISIL group sustained heavy losses after the Iraqi army men carried out counter-attack operations in the fighting area,” the sources went on to say.
