Precision Airstrikes Catch ISIL Off Guard in East Aleppo

ISIL positions in Eastern Aleppo countryside came under blitzkrieg by the Syria air force, reports said on Thursday, adding that the bombings were staged in 30 sorties of flights over the militant-held regions near Kuweires Military Airport.

Reports from Aleppo said the Syrian fighter jets conducted over 30 airstrikes on ISIL positions in Deir Hafer Plains.

Sources said similar intense bombings of ISIL-held areas in Eastern Aleppo have been underway for the last several days, but the Thursday air offensives “proved extremely effective for the Syrian Army as they helped the ground troops advance towards the besieged Kuweires Military Airport”.

Local sources told FNA that large groups of terrorists were killed on Thursday and a major part of the military hardware, including vehicles and artilleries, that was used by the terrorist group to storm the Kuweires Military Airport was destroyed in the large-scale air offensives.

On Wednesday, Syrian warplanes struck multiple ISIL positions with precision targeting ammunition in a region near Al-Judaydeh village and the Kuweires Military Barracks to the West of the airport.

The Syrian Army started massive operations in mid September to push back the ISIL Takfiri terrorists from the nearby areas of Kuweires airbase in the Southern territories of Aleppo province.

The Syrian army, in cooperation with the National Defense Forces (NDF) and the Al-Ba’ath Battalion, launched the offensive from Southeast Aleppo and in two directions in a move to lift the ISIL two-year-long siege on the Kuweires airbase.

The army targeted the terrorist group in the Jabboul Lake front and the town of ‘Ayn Sabil to spread out the ISIL fighters in the Deir Hafer Plain.

ISIL Terrorists Fleeing Raqqa after Russian Airstrikes

The ISIL Takfiri terrorists are on the run to save their lives after sustaining heavy casualties in the Russian airstrikes in the Syrian governorate of Raqqa, media reports said.

“A large number of foreign ISIL terrorists have fled Raqqa for Iraq after the Russian warplanes pounded their hideouts,” the Arabic-language El-Nashre news website quoted eyewitnesses as saying on Friday.

The report said that many ISIL militants and their families have escaped form Tal a-Saman villages in the Northern parts of Raqqa.

The Syrian air defense command said that the Russian Air Force struck the ISIL-held Tabaqa airbase in Raqqa governorate’s Western territories, destroying the military barracks after two airstrikes above this large military base.

The source said the ISIL terrorists sustained considerable damage as a result of the Russian airstrikes on the Tabaqa airbase.

In addition to their airstrikes inside Tabaqa, the Russian Air Force struck the ISIL positions at the Al-‘Ajrawi Farms; this farm area is located outside of the Tabaqa airbase and used by the terrorist group as a weapons supply depot.

To the east of the Raqqa governorate, the Russian fighter jets continued their airstrikes above the Hasaka governorate, attacking the terrorist group at the cities of Al-Shadadi and Al-Houl, while the Syrian Air Force struck an ISIL convoy along the Deir Ezzur-Hasaka Highway.

Governor: ISIL Paralyzed Behind Hasaka Gates

Governor of Syria’s Hasaka Mohammad Za’al al-Ala underlined the provincial forces’ full preparedness to repel any possible attack by the Takfiri terrorists, and said that the ISIL has been pinned down behind the gates of his province.

“According to the information that the Hasaka province’s security committee has obtained, ISIL is facing a very bad situation,” al-Ala told FNA on Friday.

He reiterated that a large number of the ISIL militants have fled Hasaka to Turkey and from there to Europe.

On Monday, the Kurdish popular forces pushed the ISIL Takfiri terrorists back from their positions near the city of Hasaka.

The ISIL terrorists killed at least 20 ISIL terrorists in the Eastern parts of Hasaka city near the village of Tal al-Saman.

Battlefield dispatches said the Takfiri terrorists had to retreat from their positions after sustaining heavy losses.

The ISIL terrorists have started sporadic attacks on the Kurdish forces after they were forced out of the city.

The Kurdish forces’ operations came as they have gained full control over the town of Ain Issa in Raqqa province.

Last Friday, the Kurdish forces of the People’s Protection Units (YPG) launched an attack on headquarters of the ISIL in Jarabulus city North of Aleppo, near the border with Turkey, local sources said.

The YPG forces have targeted several ISIL positions in Jarabulus with mortars and heavy artillery.

YPG fighter Nuraddin Gaban told the agency on the phone that the Kurdish forces launched the attack from their bases in the villages of Zor Maghar, Nasiriya and Atto East of Jarabulus.

“Our shelling hit at least five ISIL targets in Jarabulus city on Friday, killing and injuring dozens of terrorists,” he said.

The YPG leadership has deployed hundreds of fighters alongside the Euphrates River in the Eastern countryside of Jarabulus in preparation for storming the ISIL strongholds in the area.

“Our forces have made a remarkable advance towards Jarabulus city after liberating the Western countryside of Kobani. The anti-ISIL operations will continue until reassuring our people’s safety from this terrorist group,” Gaban added.

“We are ready to storm the city of Jarabulus and liberate it from the ISIL terrorists. We are waiting for orders from our leadership,” the YPG member said.
