GOP Debate: Marco Rubio Clashes With Rand Paul

Senators Marco Rubio and Rand Paul argued over the government spending on entitlements and the millitary.

 

 

In defending Rubio’s child tax credit that will be part of a “pro-family tax code,” Rubio said , “there are millions of people watching this broadcast tonight who understand exactly what I’m talking about. I am proud that I have a pro-family tax code.”

Randy Paul rebutes saying, “Marco, Marco, how is it conservative to add a trillion-dollar expenditure to the federal government? … You cannot be a conservative if you’re going to keep promoting new programs that you’re not going to pay for.”

 

 

 

He also said, “I want a strong national defense, but I don’t want us to be bankrupt.”

 

Then Ted Interrupted , saying “You think defending this nation is expensive? Try not defending it.”

This debate was aired by Fox Business and Wall Street Journal in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

 

 

Senators Paul Rubio were Ben Carson, Marco Rubio, Donald Trump, Ted Cruz, Jeb Bush, John Kasich, and Carly Fiorina was also included the stage.
