Surprise! State Department won’t Meet Clinton Email Goal this Year

(Before It's News)

The State Department was ordered by the courts to release at least 43,000 of Hillary Clinton’s emails by the end of this year. In a shocking development, it looks like they won’t be meeting that goal. Try to contain your expressions of surprise. From Politico:

The State Department also said on Thursday that it fell short of its court-ordered goal of releasing 43,000 pages of the trove by the end of the year.

“We have worked diligently to come as close to the goal as possible, but with the large number of documents involved and the holiday schedule we have not met the goal this month,” said the agency, which fell about 2,000 pages short of the target.

Imagine that, a government agency falling short of the goals set for it! Of course, while I’m not one generally given to conspiracy theories, I suspect that at least some of this was intentionally done to protect Herself for as long as the Department can.

The other major story in this article is that the number of emails she sent from her private server found to have classified information has topped 1000. In fact, it’s now well over that number. Back on October 31, I mentioned that the number was 671. The current number is nearly twice that at 1274. If the State Department could have done its job properly and finished off those remaining pages, I suspect that number would be higher. We have no reason to think otherwise. Also, don’t expect the courts to impose any consequences on the State Department, even though the latter absolutely could have finished off those emails if they had wanted to. After all, what else are their best and brightest doing, spitballing new hashtag diplomacy ideas?

And remember, folks, this is the woman who is going to be the Democratic nominee for President. She is not the inevitable winner of the race some on both sides of the spectrum like to make her out to be, but she’s formidable nonetheless. However, with each new email revelation, she becomes just a little more beatable. This won’t be the silver bullet that kills her campaign–in a just world, it would be–but they do give us an ample and increasing source of ammunition for the campaign against her.
