(Before It's News)

Keep an eye out for mentions of HR 564. A resolution introduced Dec 11th by Rep. Doug Lamborn (R-CO) 90%.  Not sure of all the Christmas “symbols” and “traditions” it would protect or at which locations since it’s light on details.  Here it is:

Whereas the Framers intended that the First Amendment of the Constitution, in prohibiting the establishment of religion, would not prohibit any mention of religion or reference to God in civic dialog: Now, therefore, be it Resolved,  That the House of Representatives—(1) recognizes the importance of the symbols and traditions of Christmas; (2) strongly disapproves of attempts to ban references to Christmas; and  (3) expresses support for the use of these symbols and traditions by those who celebrate Christmas.

Remember when Jeb Bush told Donald Trump at the last GOP debate,  ” You’re not going to be able to insult your way to the Presidency.”?   Maybe he was offering some campaign tips. But Trump didn’t take the hint  and on Friday declared Jeb to be “dumb as a rock”.  Jeb must have thrown out his campaign playbook then because CNN said yesterday Jeb was stumping in NH and told a crowd, “ I gotta get this off my chest — Donald Trump is a jerk“.

New bundle of polls came out today from CBS/YouGov. I say bundle because you’re getting Iowa, NH, and SC numbers.  Here’s the poll page from Real Clear Politics and you can pick which one(s) you want to look at.

Those things American’s don’t like about Obamacare have a name. They’re called “glitches“. At last night’s Dem debate moderator Martha Raddatz questioned Hillary Clinton about the huge climb in deductibles and other rising costs notes the Freebeacon.  Raddatz wanted to know what Clinton was going to do about it.  “Well, I would certainly build on the successes of the Affordable Care Act and work to fix some of the glitches you just referenced,” Clinton said.

Remember when there were people who wanted to blame the Benghazi attack on a video? And remember when it was finally admitted to all that a video was not, in fact, to blame?  You would think people would quit using videos as an excuse…for anything.  But, last night at the debate Democratic frontrunner Hillary Clinton brought up Republican candidate Donald Trump, saying ISIS was using him as a recruiter. Specifically, “They are going to people showing videos of Donald Trump insulting Islam and Muslims in order to recruit more radical jihadists.” Politifact dug into this video charge and said the “evidence does not exist” rating Clinton’s claim as false.

New York Congressman Rep. Richard Hanna (R-NY) 26% told Syracuse .com/Post Standard that he will not seek re-election. He says he plans to retire next year and spend more time with the family.  State Assemblywoman Claudia Tenney (R) announced last month she would be challenging Hannah in a primary.  Last year,  Tenney received national support  from several well known conservative voices including Erick Erickson and Michele Malkin.
