The Arab and western media outlets have been releasing images of Madaya town in the past few days which is now under the Syrian army and Hezbollah forces’ control. The images show that the residents of this town are starving and the pro-Syrian government forces prevent sending foodstuff to them.
The al-Arabiya and al-Jazeera news channels along with other Saudi-affiliated media outlets in the region and the western media have released several reports about this issue in the past few days and the February 14 Movement has also launched propaganda against Hezbollah in Lebanon, all claiming that people in the Syrian town are dying of starvation under the siege of the Syrian army and Hezbollah.
Allegations about Food Blockade:
The Arab and western media have claimed that Hezbollah and Syrian army forces are preventing the dispatch of foodstuff to Madaya town.
But the reality is that the Syrian forces have allowed tens of truckloads of food and medical aids and cargoes into Madaya, Shaghin and Sarghaya.
And this fact has been stressed in a statement released by the media center of the Syrian popular forces. “The humanitarian aids are under the terrorist groups’ control and kept in their warehouses in the city center. They (the terrorists) sell the aids to those civilians who can afford to buy them,” the army and popular forces’ statement said.
Another important point also is that many residents of Madaya who seek to leave the town are prevented by the terrorist leaders.
This is while the agreements between the Syrian government and the terrorists, brokered by the UN, emphasize that 300 terrorists should surrender to the Syrian authorities and leave Madaya but this was opposed by other terrorists and not implemented. Also, the terrorists don’t allow the wounded to be transferred from Madaya and have threatened to target the vehicles carrying them.
Therefore, the terrorists present in Madaya should account for the chaotic humanitarian situation in the town more than any other party.
Selective Human Rights
A look at the besieged regions of Kafria and Foua’a regions in Idlib province as well as al-Zahra and Nubl in Northwest of Aleppo province that are totally ignored by the Arab and western media shows that they aren’t concerned about the humanitarian crises or human rights issues at all since these Shiite-populated towns have been besieged for years and photos show that the residents of Foua’a have resorted to eating grass and herbs, but the Saudi-led and western media outlets are mum. The Syrian army has several times tried to airdrop flour bags and bread to them after going through the terrorists’ intensive fire. The Arab and western media have not released even one single report on the situation of these regions’ residents.
The Saudi-affiliated and western media streams which enjoy abundant financial and technical possibilities compared with the resistance media have been playing with their audience’s sentiments and cover reports based on their owners’ desires and interests, while the least important issue for them is human rights.
Finally, the situation in Foua’a, Kafria, al-Zahra and Nubl as well as Madaya is for real vital, but the terrorists are the main culprits behind the situation and they are supported by Saudi Arabia and Turkey.
The Saudi media are trying to magnify one through fake images and let the others die in news blackout, otherwise not even a single person informed of news and developments can accept that Saudi Arabia is concerned about people’s lives in Madaya, while attacking and slaughtering innocent civilians in Sana’a and Sa’da in Yemen with different missiles, cluster bombs and US and UK-made ammunition.

Al-Baghdadi’s Deputy Killed in Iraqi Airstrike
The Iraqi fighter jets killed the second top deputy of ISIL leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi in the province of Anbar, Western Iraq.
Asi Ali Nasser was killed in Iraqi airstrikes in Bervaneh region in Anbar province.
Many senior ISIL commanders, including al-Baghdadi’s top deputy Abu Ali al-Anbari, have been killed in the Iraqi army attacks on the terrorist group’s positions in Iraq over the past few months.
Other ISIL commanders killed in the Iraqi airstrikes in the last few months included Abu Ala’a al-Ofri and Abu Hassan al-Sahabi, head of ISIL’s intelligence committee.
Yesterday, Iraqi Defense Ministry said “ISIL Spokesman Abu Mohammad al-Adnani was killed during the terrorist group’s offensive at the town of Barwani in Iraq’s Western territories”.
The ISIL has not thus far issued any statement regarding al-Adnani’s fate.
In a relevant development in late November, the convoy of al-Baghdadi himself came under the Iraqi air force’s airstrike.
A military statement by the Iraqi Army announced that the Iraqi air force had bombed the convoy of al-Baghdadi while he was heading to Al-Karable to attend a meeting with ISIL commanders.
Al-Karable is the Subdistrict in the West of the Al Anbar province of Iraq, beside the Syrian border in an area of high ground.
Spokesman of Iraqi joint forces announced that the ISIL leader had been injured and over two dozen more Takfiri terrorists killed in the Iraqi army’s airstrike on their convoy in Anbar province.
Al-Baghdadi was injured in the Iraqi airstrike on his convoy and was transferred to another place by his forces, the spokesman said.
He also said that 25 other ISIL terrorists who were accompanying al-Baghdadi were killed in the airstrike.
Arabic-language media outlets said a special unit of Iraq’s air force known as the Falcons who have so far managed to kill several ISIL leaders in various operations, including an efficient attack on a number of top terrorist commanders on June 1, had done the airstrike.
Several ISIL commanders were killed in the June airstrike, including Abu Hareth Al-Shami, Abu Aeshe al-Ansari – an explosives expert – Moroccan national Abu Yousef Al-Jezrawi, Abu Hussein Al-Salmani who was in charge of ISIL’s Zakah (an Islamic tax system) issues, and Wa’d al-Latif Jom’eh al-Mohammadi who was in charge of ISIL’s suicide operation agents.
Turkey claims to have foiled ISIS raid on training camp, Iraq denies any battle
Turkish forces foiled an attack on their training camp in Iraq, killing 18 jihadists, said President Erdogan in defense of an unauthorized military deployment.
However, Iraq’s military said no battles between Turkish troops and ISIS recently took place.
Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) militants attempted to infiltrate the Turkish training camp in Iraq this week, Recep Tayyip Erdogan has claimed, referring to an event that allegedly took place on January 7.
“I have been told that some 18 Daesh [the Arabic name for IS] terrorists who tried to sneak into the Bashiqa camp were neutralized,” he said, adding that no Turkish troops were injured in the fight.
The Turkish President has taken the opportunity to praise the usefulness of the military installation located near the city of Mosul, saying that the ISIS attack “proves just how appropriate was the step taken regarding the camp.”
“It is clear that with our armed soldiers there, our officers giving the training are prepared for anything at any time,” he told reporters in Istanbul.
However, a statement from Iraq has cast doubt on Erdogan’s announcement. According to Iraq’s joint operations command, there was no such attack on a Turkish base or any recent military engagement between the Turkish forces and ISIS whatsoever.
“The joint operations command denies there was a terrorist attack on the position of Turkish forces in Bashiqa by the terrorist Daesh recently,” said a news flash on state television, Reuters reported. According to another similar statement: “The joint operations command denies what was relayed in some media outlets from the Turkish president about clashing between the Turkish forces inside Iraqi territory and the terrorist Daesh whether in Bashiqa or any other areas.”
Relations between Ankara and Baghdad have been tense following Turkey’s December 4 unauthorized deployment of about 150 soldiers backed by artillery and around 25 tanks to camp Bashiqa, a base near the northern Iraqi city of Mosul that is controlled by terrorists.
While Turkey claims its “training mission” falls under the mandate of the US-led coalition, Baghdad insists that the deployment was illegal and in breach of the country’s sovereignty. Facing harsh backlash from Iraq and global criticism, Turkey has vowed to partially withdraw its troops, but failed to deliver on promises.
The camp, located some 140 kilometers south of the Turkish border and about 20 km from IS-controlled Mosul, is allegedly being used to train Iraqi militia against to fight the jihadists. Official Iraqi troops are not present in the area ever since the Nineveh province has fallen under terrorists’ control in June 2014.
“There is no Iraqi armed forces, there are only terrorist groups’ camps,” Razzaq Mihebis, an MP from the Iraqi Badr bloc,told RT earlier, rejecting Erdogan’s justifications for the deployment as an “absolute lie.”
“They [Iraq] asked us to train their soldiers and showed us this base as the venue,” Erdogan reiterated on Friday. He claimed that the “negative developments”, meaning Baghdad’s backlash against Turkish invasion, began only after “problems between Russia and Turkey” had emerged.
However, Turkish forces are “not taking any action against” IS militants even when located right “in front of them,” another MP told RT last month, referring to some videos shown to parliamentarians by the country’s security services.
“It was clear from the beginning that Turkey is the main sponsor of Daesh. Now [Turkey] created camps in northern Iraq and invaded our territory under the pretext of fighting against Daesh. But in reality it is training their fighters,” Iraqi MP from the State of Law bloc, Awatif Nima said.
Given the overwhelming and evidence there is no doubt that oil is being smuggled into Turkey on a massive scale. But there is also proof that Turkey is keeping its border open for the jihadi fighters and aiding them to get medical treatment on its territory before sending them back to fight in Syria and Iraq, Iraqi MP and a former national security adviser, Mowaffak al Rubaie told RT.
Meanwhile a spokesman for the Popular Front’s Badr Organization, one of Iraq’s most prominent Shiite militias, Karim al-Nouri told RT that their forces were able to secure enough data from the dead ISIS terrorists’ bodies to directly implicate Turkey in involvement with IS affairs.“We have documents that prove that the largest logistical support [to ISIS] and supply routes are supplied by the Turks,” he claimed. According to al-Nouri, jihadists are also freely crossing the Turkish border, where they are being offered “save heavens.”
