Another GOP Leader Surrenders, Accepts Obama’s Supreme Court Nominee!

Unbelievable. Un-be-lievable.
Senator Chuck Grassley (R-IA) has come out and said that he is now changing his mind and open to holding a vote on whomever Barack Obama nominates to replace Justice Scalia on the Supreme Court. He said that he's open to the idea of holding hearings and will take it “one step at a time.”
Now, I know what you’re saying… One Senator changing his mind doesn’t make that much of a difference. Except for the fact that Senator Grassley is the Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, which is responsible for holding the initial hearings on Supreme Court nominations.
A nominee has to get through the Senate Judiciary Committee first before they can reach a floor vote.
The line in the sand is already starting to fade and it hasn’t even been half a week. This is completely unacceptable!
They’re actually going to do it. They’re going to put the RINOs in a position to surrender this country, once again, to the Left.
When Loretta Lynch was nominated for Attorney General, Conservatives said, “no way, she’s too liberal.” Her confirmation was held up. A dozen so-called-Republican Senators ended up voting alongside Democrats to push her through. Now, she’s helping to implement Obama’s executive orders.
The point is, even though the Senate Judiciary Committee has Conservatives like Ted Cruz and Mike Lee who will fight the nomination, the Committee also has on it Orrin Hatch (R-UT), Lindsey Graham (R-SC), and Jeff Flake (R-AZ). All three of them ended up siding with the Democrats to confirm Loretta Lynch. Considering the fact that it is likely she will be Obama’s Supreme Court nominee, you can see how dangerous this is getting.
If Grassley holds a hearing, and these three Senators vote to push the nominee through, then it’s on to a full floor vote. And then, anything can happen.
Democrat Senators filibustered George W. Bush’s final Supreme Court nomination. There were 25 Democrats on the filibuster, but they included Barack Obama, Joe Biden, Hillary Clinton, John Kerry, Ted Kennedy, Chuck Schumer, and Harry Reid.
With the exception of Ted Kennedy – for obvious reasons – each and every one of them is now blasting Republicans for copying their own tactics! Hillary has even suggested that it is somehow racist for the GOP to want to stop a liberal from taking over a Conservative seat on the bench.
The whole thing’s a joke.
But I’ll tell you what isn’t funny… Republican leadership saying that they’ll hold a vote and just “see what happens.” Absolutely not!
A lot of people have been emailing in asking why we keep writing about this. They say there are plenty of other issues we could be focusing on.
They’re right.
But if Barack Obama succeeds, the next 30+ years of this country completely changes. Every article we do on gun rights, executive overreach, EPA regulations, 1st amendment protections, you name it… they will all be overshadowed by the Liberal majority on the Supreme Court.
Everything we fight for, everything we all have ever fought for, comes down to this. Are we going to let people like Mitch McConnell and Chuck Grassley cave under the pressure and change the course of US History for the worse? Or will we hold their feet to the fire and force them to stand tall?
