U.S. rejects Russia’s call fo an emergency meeting over violations of the ceasefire in Syria. A U.S. official in Geneva has said Russian concerns over the issue are being addressed in a constructive manner. On Monday, a Russian army official proposed an urgent meeting with U.S. representatives to agree on a mechanism to control the ceasefire in Syria. The Russian military warned that Moscow will use force unilaterally to respond to any violations if the U.S. refrains from coordinating rules of engagement against the violators. Russia accuses U.S. of foot-dragging on enforcing the ceasefire deal, saying this has cost civilian lives, including 65 in Aleppo province last week.
