Confirmed: Obama’s Amnesty Killed Another American

Every now and then, I read something so infuriating that I have to stop myself from throwing my computer against the wall. This is one of those situations.
By now, you’ve heard the tragic story of what happened to Sarah Root. On January 31, the 21-year old was minding her business and driving down the highway.
Out of nowhere, another car came barreling towards her, striking her vehicle head-on.
The other car was driven by 19-year old illegal alien Eswin Mejia, who was drunk and driving with more than three times the legal limit of alcohol in his bloodstream.
The illegal alien was drag racing. When the dust settled, Root was on her way to a hospital in critical condition and Mejia was in police custody.
When the Omaha Police called the Obama administration to ask for Mejia to be deported – since he commited a serious crime while in the country illegally – the Obama administration refused. Because his victim was still clinging to life in the hospital, the Department of Homeland Security was going to allow Mejia to post bail.
Sarah Root died shortly after and her killer posted bail and disappeared. It cost less for him to get out of prison than it did for the family to bury their daughter.
Now, we just learned that this horrible killing was made possible by Obama’s amnesty at the border!
Three years prior, Eswin Mejia was caught by border patrol and released because the Obama administration determined him to be harmless. He was just one of the tens of thousands of unaccompanied minors that were apprehended crossing the border illegally and released according to Presidential decree.
From the very beginning, we have opposed Barack Obama’s amnesty actions for two reasons: (1) The President has no right to do what he is doing and (2) Americans are literally dying as a result of Obama’s open borders policy.
No one is claiming that everyone coming across the border illegally is a murderer. Not even Donald Trump has made that claim – though the media likes to assert that he did. But the fact that so many of them are killers, and that the Obama administration doesn’t care that Americans are being killed, is shameful.
When U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) director Sarah Saldana appeared before Congress, she admitted that mistakes were made and confirmed that the Obama administration let this killer free because his victim was still technically alive.
However, she still claimed that there was nothing the administration could have done. She lied.
What Director Saldana neglected to tell Congress is that the Obama administration rolled out the welcome mat for this illegal alien 3-years prior. They classified him as an “unaccompanied minor” and declined to deport him.
If the Obama administration had just enforced the law as written, Sarah Root would still be alive. All they had to do was fulfill their constitutional obligation to faithfully execute the law and she’d be alive and thriving.
She graduated from college with a 4.0 GPA one day prior to being hospitalized by this illegal alien. One day, she was on top of the world. The next, her parents starting to make funeral arrangements.
And the Obama administration has the gall to say it’s not their fault and that there was nothing they could do…
This is what we’re dealing with. An illegal alien got behind the wheel with a BAC three times the legal limit, fatally injures an American, and the administration’s response is to let him go because the girl hadn’t died yet. The only reason he was even in the county is because of Obama's amnesty.
The Obama administration let this illegal alien killer into the country, no questions asked. Then, when he literally put an American citizen on her deathbed, they let him go after declaring he wasn’t a threat to public safety. Americans are dying because Obama has prioritized protecting illegal aliens over American citizens.
Unacceptable isn’t a strong enough word. I was literally speechless when I watched this hearing. The utter heartlessness is remarkable. There’s an illegal alien killer out there and the administration’s best response is, ‘oh well…”
I don’t care if it will be difficult. This Obama administration official needs to be removed from office right now!
