Foreign-backed militants fighting the Syrian government have reportedly launched chemical attacks against Kurdish forces in the northern city of Aleppo. Reporters on the field have published videos purportedly showing gas rising over the Sheikh Maqsood neighborhood. The attacks caused choking among those affected, injuring several people. Earlier militant attacks on the Aleppo city neighborhood left two people dead and nearly a dozen others injured. A number of militant and terrorist groups have been battling for the strategic area over the past couple of days. The so-called Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has called the attacks blatant violation of the weeks-long ceasefire brokered by the US and Russia.
