(Before It's News)

Welcome to the Watercooler! All eyes will be on the battleground state of WI today with it’s 42 delegates at stake. The polling shows it will be a squeaker on both sides of the aisle.

GOP Delegate Details

42 GOP Delegates

Open Primary with Same day voter registration to vote

Winner-Take-All by both statewide vote (15 total delegates) and congressional districts (3 delegates in each of the state’s eight districts); 3 RNC delegates.

Wisconsin Voter ID Requirement

This year voters in WI must show an approved photo id to vote. The law was passed in 2011 but has been held up in the courts until 2015, when the Supreme Court refused to hear the case, allowing it to stand. Today is the first election under the new law and apparently a year to plan ahead isn’t enough for some.

MSNBC has been airing long lines for college students to get an ID, which could adversely affect Sanders core constituency. One student said she lost hers on Spring Break and when asked if she had a drivers license, she replied yes, but from CA. Yet she can still vote in WI? Sanders dislikes it of course and it could give Hillary an edge:

Sanders on Sunday relentlessly attacked Walker for what he calls “voter suppression.”

“I think what Gov. Walker and what other Republican governors and legislators are doing is not only shameful, it’s un-American in the deepest sense of the word,” Sanders said at a rally in Wausau, Wis.

PayPal Flushes NC

PayPal has sided with perverts and against NC’s commonsense gender matching bathroom law. From The Hill:

The planned global operations center in Charlotte, N.C., would have created 400 skilled jobs, the company said.

“The new law perpetuates discrimination and it violates the values and principles that are at the core of PayPal’s mission and culture. As a result, PayPal will not move forward with our planned expansion into Charlotte,” company CEO Dan Shulman said in a statement Tuesday.

Group Hugs All Around

Who says there isn’t bipartisan friendship in the Senate?

The four senators exchanged hugs, including a handshake and side hug between Scott and Sasse. Then, Heitkamp and the two Republicans senators group hugged, before Booker joined in.

Senators were on the floor to vote on the Defend Trade Secrets Act. The legislation — which would beef up federal law on the theft of trade secrets — passed easily, 87-0.

John Kerry Hugs Iran

If you thought the Iran deal couldn’t get any worse for America, you’d be wrong. When Kerry was asked about giving Iran access to the American dollar on Morning Joe today, Kerry said something so stunning that my jaw dropped:

…that the administration is “working very hard to do what is fair” to Iran.

Kerry was asked whether Iran has demonstrated that it deserves that kind of fair treatment, to which Kerry replied, “They have. In terms of the nuclear agreement, absolutely.”

Once again, this admin compartmentalizes everything and overlooks testing ballistic missiles since that’s a UN sanction and not part of the nuke deal. 2017 can’t come soon enough!

GOP Voters Hug Delegate Leader

The voters have spoken sort of when it comes to GOP-E parachuting someone into the convention to save us from ourselves. From the Washington Examiner:

More than half of Republican voters believe the GOP candidate who enters the convention with the most delegates should emerge from it as the party’s presidential nominee, a new poll shows.

According to the latest Rasmussen Reports survey, 51 percent of likely Republican voters would like to avoid a lengthy battle on the convention floor by nominating the candidate with the highest delegate count in July.

Well I’m all hugged out. Here at the Watercooler, it’s open to everyone to comment on the stories above or opine about something that’s on your mind. The threadjack rules don’t apply here, so feel free if you see something, say something. We’ll stay open late for election results. Happy Tuesday!
