Breaking: Three people shot at DC-area mall; woman killed at nearby grocery store, police say –Suspect at large | 06 May 2016 | Police said three people have been shot at Westfield Montgomery Mall at 7101 Democracy Blvd. in Bethesda on Friday morning and that a suspect is at large. Soon after, a woman was fatally shot at a grocery store several miles away, and authorities are investigating whether the incidents are linked. Montgomery County Assistant Police Chief Darryl McSwain said they responded to a call at 11 a.m. for a report of a person shot at the mall in Bethesda. He said an initial investigation found that it appeared that one person was shot in a parking lot, and then two others who came to help also were shot.
