In his latest speech, after gaining over 1,500 delegates and receiving the most votes in the history of a Republican Primary season, Donald J. Trump took time to thank the people of California, New Jersey and three other states where he obtained the most delegates during Tuesday’s primary voting. Trump also grilled Bill and Hillary Clinton for their use of what he called corrupt schemes and told his supporters that he is prepared to give a speech next week on many of the obscure dealings that the Clintons have used to get wealthier. “We will put America first. We will put the American people first. We will make America great again,” he said as supporters cheered his words. “This victory is a real testament to the people who believed that real change, not Obama change, but real change is possible,” said Trump at the start of his speech. With his wife Melania on his left side and his daughter Ivanka on his right side, Trump promised supporters to never let them down and, as the new leader of the Republican Party, he also said he would guide his movement to victory in November. “To everyone who voted for me, I want to thank you very much. To all of those Bernie Sanders supporters who were left out in the cold by the rigged system of superdelegates, we welcome you with open arms.” Trump reminded people that the 2016 election is not about being Republican or Democrat, but about who will run the country: “special interests or the people, and I mean the American people,” he explained. The presumptive Republican nominee explained that it is not possible to expect real change from politicians who use their positions in government to become extremely wealthy. “Every election year, politicians promise change. Obama promised change and it didn’t work out too well. Every year they fail to deliver.” “Why would politicians want to change a system that is rigged to keep them in power?” asked Trump. “I beat a rigged system with overwhelming support, the only way you could have done it,” said Trump. His last point is one that of great relevance as the November election approaches. The only possible way for Donald Trump to win the general election will be if his supporters and those who will not vote for Hillary Clinton vote for him in a landslide. A close election will give the system an opportunity to rig the voting in favor of the Clintons. Despite his strong victories in the primary season, Trump has a lot of work to do to convince unhappy Democrats and independents that he will do a better job than Hillary if elected president. He will also need to strongly reach out to women and minorities, who the mainstream media has successfully managed to swindle by labeling Trump’s speech as racist, xenophobic and discriminatory. Donald J. Trump has his work cut out for him. The presidential race is just beginning and it will be a wild ride until a new president is elected.
