Hezbollah strongly denounced the Israel desecration of al-Aqsa Mosque during the events on the 49th anniversary of al-Quds’ occupation. In a statement released by the party’s Media Relations, Hezbollah said the move was a deliberate policy by the Israel aimed at paving the way to totally destruct the holy mosque, Al Manar reported. “On Naksa (setback) Day (1976), and while the Arab regimes turn away their face from Palestine and its sacred sites, a group of settlers, backed by Israeli police and army, savagely invaded the holy al-Aqsa Mosque, in order to provocatively celebrate the occupation of al-Quds’ anniversary,” the statement released late on Monday said. The resistance party stressed that such provocative move afflicts both Islamic and Christian sites in al-Quds and entire Palestine. “Hezbollah denounces such spiteful moves against the holy mosque and against both Islamic and Christian sacred sites in al-Quds and entire Palestine,” the statement added.
Hezbollah warned that such great disintegration by settlers towards al-Aqsa Mosque is a deliberate Israeli policy aimed at “destroying the symbolic value of the holy site and paving the way for total destruction of it.” The statement also condemned the Arabs’ silence on such Israeli provocations is continuation of the normalization policy adopted by these regimes which are seeking alliance with the Israel, according to recent press reports. In this context, Hezbollah called for a clear stance from these repeated Israeli violations in light of the failure by Arab regimes and international community to stop such attacks.

Israel Troops Occupy Palestinian Homes to Make Military Base

Israeli forces took over 11 Palestinian homes close to the West Bank city of Nablus and transformed them into military sites, local officials said. According to Awwad Najim, the Fatah spokesperson in the village of Huwwara, Israeli forces put barbed wires around the houses, installed cameras and set out military outposts in the area, Alaraby reported. Israeli forces threatened to impose further punishment on Huwwara residents, including closing shops, if attacks on vehicles of Israeli settlers in the area take place, Najim added. These Israeli settlements are viewed as illegal according to international law, and armed settlers have launched campaigns of terror against local Palestinians, which have resulted in murders. The army’s move came after an empty settler bus was reportedly attacked with “steel balls” near Huwwara south of Nablus city on the weekend.
An Israeli army spokesperson that “following an attack with steel bullets”, Israeli forces set up “temporary viewpoints in the area to overlook the road for security measures”. She also confirmed that the structures seized were Palestinian homes, adding that she did not have information on whether Palestinians were residing inside the homes at the time of the raids. Israeli forces have launched punitive raids on Palestinian homes in recent months. They have also been demolishing Palestinian homes as part of an ongoing Israeli plan to create a designated military zone, known as Firing Zone 918.
The military’s actions have resulted in some of the most extensive demolition programs in the occupied West Bank in recent years. Human rights groups have continuously challenged Israel’s claim to the land, arguing it is illegal under international law to establish a military zone in occupied territory. Israeli troops also frequently use “military exercises” to indirectly displace Palestinians from the Jordan Valley. Residents have been ordered to evacuate their homes during military training operations, which often leave local crops and land belonging to the Palestinian farmers badly damaged or destroyed.
