Trump Appeals to Disenfranchised Bernie Supporters

The glorious coronation of Queen Hillary has begun. I’ll spare you the obnoxious details.

Meanwhile, the grubby-handed, would-be Socialists, desperate to have the promised payoff from Daddy Government that Uncle Bernie had promised them are left miffed and perturbed. They need a new home to vent their rage at the system, while complaining that nobody understands them.

It’s such moments of disenfranchisement that cult leaders emerge and prey upon their marks.

Enter Donald Trump.

In an appeal to Bernie supporters, the GOP nominee painted himself as a viable alternative to a Socialist.

“’To all of those Bernie Sanders voters who have been left out in the cold by a rigged system of super delegates, we welcome you with open arms,’ Trump said in Westchester, New York, on Tuesday. ‘And by the way, the terrible trade deals that Bernie was so vehemently against — and he’s right on that — will be taken care of far better than anyone ever thought possible, and that’s what I do.’”

Sort of let that sink in: Even after he’s won the nomination, Trump is still whining, and also wants to connect with the Socialist/entitlement crowd.

“’To those who voted for someone else – in either party – I will work hard to earn your support, and I will work very hard to earn that support,’ Trump said.”

Yes, he just repeated himself, and did so while reading from teleprompters, which he said presidents should be banned from using.

That was probably just a suggestion.

Socialism and the free market capitalism of a conservative system have nothing in common. If he is now reaching out to Sanders supporters, but is the presumed face of the Republican party, how will he appease both?
