(Before It's News)

It’s not stopping at bathrooms. Now a boy is beating out girls during track and field events as he competes amongst them, and is taking top spots away from those who rightfully deserve them.

Alaska’s Haines High School senior, Nattaphon Wangyot, is a young man who identifies as female, and competes against the girls of his high school under the allowance of the Alaska School Activities Association.

According to Haines’ district policies: “For the purposes of gender identification for interscholastic activities, the district will consider the gender identity based on the student’s consistent declaration of gender identity, their actions, attitude, dress and mannerisms.”

Meaning that if a sex is declared, and they act like that sex, then they are to be considered that sex. They are then to be granted access to any gender specific teams if they wish to be.

While Wangyot didn’t take first, he has taken the 5th place spot in the 100 meter, and the 3rd place in the 200 meter. This advances him to state, and robbing a girl who would have gone otherwise of the opportunity to do so.

Emma Daniels, one of the runners who was denied advancement to the state meet, spoke out about Wangyot. “I’m glad that this person is comfortable with who they are and they’re able to be happy in who they are, but I don’t think it’s competitively completely 100-percent fair,”

“I don’t know what’s politically correct to say, but in my opinion your gender is what you’re born with,” said Peyton Young, a fellow athlete. “It’s the DNA. Genetically a guy has more muscle mass than a girl, and if he’s racing against a girl, he may have an advantage.”

Alaska Family Action president Jim Minnery voiced his opinion outside the track meet, alongside a handful of fellow protestors.

“We are here today as a voice from the community to ensure that female athletes are not denied the playing opportunities and scholarships otherwise available to them and to make the playing field even again. …Allowing students to play on teams of the opposite sex disproportionately impacts female students, who will lose spots on track, soccer and volleyball teams to male students who identify as female.”

Minnery is correct, and voices the concerns of the girls who spoke out as well. Due to the biological and physical differences between males and females, certain events will give men the advantage. This will put girls, who work hard to achieve what they do in their chosen sport, in an unfair position.

This unfair position could cost them anything from simple awards to scholarships. This robs them of not only the glory of winning in fair competition, but could potentially damage their future.

This is a continuing pattern in sports however. Transgenderism is creeping into it at an alarming rate. I spoke about this before when the International Olympic Committee made the rule that transgender athletes who are biologically male could compete in female sporting events.

Oddly, you won’t hear many women’s groups speak out about this outrage, as girls and women are being sidelined for boys and men who wish to compete as the sex they aren’t. While feminist groups tend to claim men are disadvantaging women on the daily, here we have a very real and clear problem. Yet they stay silent.

Unless the rules are changed, many girls are going to have to go home disappointed after much training and effort, due to a boy with a biological advantage taking what is rightfully theres. The ribbons, trophies, and accolades that go with it will be in a boy’s room instead of theres. The benefits meants for women given to men.
