Fourth of July misery as tornado warnings and terror threats spark travel mayhem grounding more than 3,000 flights in one night and bringing security lines to a standstill | 01 July 2016 | Tornado warnings and terror threats have been issued across the United States for Fourth of July weekend. A tornado alert has been issued until 10pm on Friday in New York and parts of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts and Vermont, stalling flights. There were more than 3,000 flight delays in the US on Friday as of 9pm, and 700 flights had been canceled. Travel woes have been compounded by threats from a pro-ISIS Twitter account warning of attacks on threatened attacks at London Heathrow, LAX and New York's JFK airports this weekend.
