HAHA! Mike Pence, Trump’s VP Pick, Just Said Politics Is No Place for Name Calling
Mike Pence might have just committed his first gaffe during this election season.
While speaking to radio show host Hue Hewitt, Pence responded to President Obama’s comments about Trump, when Obama called him a “demagogue.”
“I don’t think name calling has any place in public life, and I thought that was unfortunate that the president of the United States would use a term like that,” said Pence, with what I assume was a straight face.
For those of you keeping track, this was said by the VP pick of a man whose schtick was giving – what he thought – were clever nicknames for his opponents.
You’ll recall such hits as “Lyin’ Ted,” or who can forget “Little Marco,” and “Crooked Hillary.” This is a man who had a name calling generator website designed after his tweets, where he likes to call people “looser,” and “chocker.”

Name calling is about 65% of Trump’s strategy when it comes to winning this election, and Pence has already pardoned it before.

Yet to reporters on July 7 at a local Indiana county fair, Pence, when asked by NBC whether he empathized with Cruz and his supporters after Trump’s personal attacks against the former Trump rival, demurred, calling it the realities of a “competitive primary.”
Here I was just chastising Democrats for their hypocrisy in saying it’s okay when they do certain things, but not okay when Republicans do the exact same thing. Then again, this is Trump, who is for all intents and purposes a Democrat, and who won’t attack his fellow Democrats because it wouldn’t be good message discipline.
This election is just one big posturing, specious mess…but it is funny.
