ISIL Executes, Crucifies Syrian Pilot in Deir Ezzur

The ISIL terrorist group captured and executed a Syrian military pilot, whose jet had crashed due to a technical failure in Eastern province of Deir Ezzur, media sources said.

“An army’s warplane that took off from Hama airport reportedly crashed near al-Thardah mountain in Deir Ezzur province,” the sources said, adding, “The crash was caused by a technical failure in the warplane and that the pilot survived the incident.”

“However, Syrian pilot Mahmoud Jubair was captured by ISIL fighters after landing with his parachute in Deir Ezzur,” sources further added.

Pilot Jubair, originally from Musiyaf town in Hama province, was publicly executed and crucified by ISIL militants in the Kinamat square in Deir Ezzir city.

On Wednesday, Syrian Army Aircraft carried out several combat sorties over ISIL bases in the Southern and Southeastern sides of Deir Ezzur city, inflicting major damage on the terrorists’ military vehicles.

The Syrian fighter jets bombed ISIL’s positions near al-Mura’yeh village East of Deir Ezzur South of the Euphrates and al-Jafreh in Southeastern side of the city, which ended in mass destruction of their machinegun-equipped vehicles.

In the meantime, scores of the ISIL terrorists were killed and their military hardware and vehicles were damaged in the Syrian air attacks on the Takfiri group’s positions near al-Thardah mountain.

Syria in Last 24 Hours: Terrorists Sustain Heavy Losses in Army’s Offensive in Deir Ezzur

The Syrian army and popular forces continued their military operations against the terrorist groups in Deir Ezzur province, and inflicted heavy losses on them over the past 24 hours.

The Syrian army killed and wounded scores of the ISIL militants in Deir Ezzur province.

The terrorist groups also sustained heavy casualties in other key provinces across Syria.

Deir Ezzur

The Syrian army and its allies’ attacks on terrorists’ positions near al-Tharda mountain in the Southern parts of Deir Ezzur killed and wounded tens of them.

The operations also destroyed a tank and military vehicle of the terrorists which was equipped with heavy machine gun.

The Syrian Air Force also targeted dens of ISIL Takfiri terrorists in al-Bugheiliyeh village, West of Deir Ezzur city, destroying a number of gatherings and vehicles equipped with heavy machineguns

In the Southeastern countryside of Deir Ezzur province, the Air Force intensified sorties targeting gatherings of ISIL Takfiri terrorists and their vehicles in the villages of al-Jafra and al-Mrei’iyeh.

An army unit destroyed the ISIL’s military operation sites in al-Rushdiyeh neighborhood in Deir Ezzur city.

The Syrian Army troops launched large-scale offensives on ISIL’s positions on Wednesday to beat back the terrorists from their positions in an oil-rich region.

The Syrian soldiers stormed the ISIL’s strongholds near Tayyem oilfield and inflicted a heavy death toll on the militants.

In the meantime, at least 25 ISIL terrorists, including 10 fighters under-the-age 16, were killed and many more were wounded in the Syrian army’s attacks in al-Huweija district and al-Tharda mountain.

Homs

Russia used six long-range bombers to target terrorist forces and oil sites in Syria, the Russian Defense Ministry reported, saying it’s intensifying airstrikes near Palmyra.

The Tu-22M3 bombers flew all the way form the Russian territory to deliver their deadly cargo.

The ministry also released a video of the operation.

The airstrikes focused around al-Sukhnah and Arak, the Russian military said. Both towns are located East of Palmyra on a strategic road connecting the ancient city with Deir Ezzur, an ISIL stronghold in the East of Syria.

“The strikes destroyed a command point, a militant -held camp, two oil pumping sites, a significant number of enemy personnel and hardware,” the military reported.

The US-led coalition fighting ISIL separately from Russia was duly notified of the pending mission, the ministry noted.

Russian airstrikes in Syria this week hit over 50 targets since Tuesday, the ministry said.

Moscow sent warplanes at the request of the Syrian government in September last year, turning the tide of the bloody war, but has since downsized its military presence in Syria. One of the biggest successes of the campaign was the re-capture of Palmyra from ISIL in March.

Aleppo

The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) seized back control of al-Nafous building in Manbij city in Northeastern Aleppo after killing tens of terrorists.

A military source said that after the Kurdish forces retook control of Seven Seas square in the Northern parts of Manbij, they could also regain al-Nafous building and seizing an ISIL tank in the region.

The source reported heavy clashes in Manbij, adding that the SDF say they are keeping the dead bodies of 25 ISIL terrorists.

Also another source close to the Kurdish forces said that they killed over 40 ISIL militants in Manbij.

The SDF forces won back the strategic Seven Seas square in Manbij on Thursday.

During their operations in Manbij, the Kurdish forces purged ISIL terrorists from 2km of the city from al-Sharia square to the National hospital.

The SDF forces destroyed a vehicle carrying weapons and ammunitions for the ISIL terrorists and killed 28 of them. They also seized a large number of weapons and munitions from the militants.

The militants then were surrounded by the Kurdish forces between all-Sharia and Seven Seas squares which ignited heavy clashes between the two sides. The terrorists sought to blow up a suicide car to open their escape way but the SDF forces outsmarted and destroyed the car.

Also two vehicles and a motorcycle belonging to the terrorists were destroyed.

Field sources also reported heavy clashes in al-Hazawenah district and sporadic clashes after the Kurdish forces’ advance. During the clashes 4 terrorists were killed and two others were injured, with the corpses of two of them in the SDF forces’ hand.

Quneitra

The Syrian army and its allies killed a group of Takfiri terrorists from al-Nusra Front that were trying to enter al-Samadaniyeh al-Sharqieh village in Quneitra countryside.

According to a source, the Syrian soldiers in cooperation with popular forces clashed with a group of al-Nusra Front Takfiri terrorists that had arrived in al-Ajraf region towards al-Samadaniyeh al-Sharqieh.

Most members of the Takfiri terrorist group were killed during the clashes while others fled away towards al-Samadaniyeh al-Gharbiyeh.

Also in the same region, the Syrian army attacked the al-Nusra Front terrorists stationed in the road linking al-Hamidiya and al-Horiya in the Western parts of al-Ba’ath city in Quneitra with missiles and killed and injured tens of them.

Hama

The terrorists’ fortifications and centers in the Northern parts of Hama province were blown up and tens of militants were killed in Syrian airstrikes.

The Syrian Air Force destroyed two positions and a number of vehicles of Takfiri terrorists in Jana al-Elbawi and Souha in Hama province.

Also the gathering centers of Jund al-Aqsa terrorist group near Morek town in the Northern parts of Hama was targeted by the fighter jets. 5 militants were killed in the attack.
