Whiny, Sniveling Donald Trump Tells This Justice To Leave The Supreme Court
Supreme Court justices are people too. They sometimes have political opinions and they’re not shy about sharing them. The late justice Antonin Scalia was an outspoken conservative and had opinions. He was not afraid to express them. Presidents deal with it all the time.
Then there is Donald Trump. His skin is thinner than a Lay’s sour cream and cheddar potato chip. When people are kissing his ass, he’s fine with them, no matter what they do. Have you noticed he’s never been critical of Vladimir Putin? That’s because Putin said “very nice things” about him.
Recently, Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg had some candid things to say about Trump:
“He is a faker,” Ginsburg said. “He has no consistency about him. He says whatever comes into his head at the moment. He really has an ego.”
Ginsburg went on to say that she found Trump’s campaign “funny” at first, but then she bemoaned the amount of free publicity Trump gets from the media. Ginsburg said this was accompanied by what she saw as a lack of proper scrutiny on matters like Trump’s refusal to release his taxes until the IRS finishes its audit on him.
“How has he gotten away with not turning over his tax returns?” Ginsburg asked herself. “The press seems to be very gentle with him on that.”
Oof.
Naturally, Donald Trump could’t just let things lie and not respond. Responding would be fine if he didn’t sound like such a petulant child but he cannot help himself:
“I think it’s highly inappropriate that a United States Supreme Court judge gets involved in a political campaign, frankly,” Mr. Trump said. “I think it’s a disgrace to the court and I think she should apologize to the court. I couldn’t believe it when I saw it.”
He continued: “That she should be saying that? It’s so beneath the court for her to be making statements like that. It only energizes my base even more. And I would hope that she would get off the court as soon as possible.”
If it energizes your base, Donald, what the hell are you complaining about?
This shows a complete lack of maturity on Trump’s part. It’s not as though he should have remained quiet but his response could have been more measured, making Ginsburg look a little silly. Instead, Trump went over the top, showing that he’ll get nasty with anybody that criticizes him while continuing to praise dictators.
