Movie Based on Book of Daniel: Between Lambs and Lions (Video)
Between Lambs and Lions is a political thriller, set against a dystopian future not far from now. The American constitution is null and void and with it the Star Spangled Banner assigned to a museum. One man stands against the mighty totalitarian state of The New Republic. One politician, Daniel Alesso, campaigns against the oppressive New Republic, challenging the President as the last remaining honest face in American history. As the old saying goes, “Truth is Treason in an Empire of Lies.”
Between Lambs and Lions is a modern take on the story of Daniel and the Lion’s Den. The short proof of concept starring Paterson Joseph (The Beach, Babylon and Peep Show) and Finbar Lynch (Foyles War and Game of Thrones) shows Daniel beginning his journey to challenge the President on his quest for total control over the New Republic, but not before being threatened to remain quiet.
The tone should be all too familiar to anyone paying attention to what is happening here in America today!

ABOUT THE PRODUCER: MARK SUTHERLAND
In 1992 from a phone call, Mark found himself on the set of the low budget film, White Angel, to construct the sets and then became the Production Designer.The film is featured in the industry respected Guerilla Film makers hand book and it went onto a 35 cinema release.
Mark went on to be Construction Manager on Boston Kickout, and Living Spirits next feature, Urban Ghost Story.
Mark has gone on to Art Direct, comic relief in 2011, Art Directed First men in the moon BBC 2, written and starring Mark Gatiss, 2010, and over the last 5 years the Big fat quiz for ch4.
He contributed to the BBC childrens festival in 2009, and has used his carpentry skills to work on a number of TV shows, from ‘Strictly come dancing’ to the film for the opening of the Olympic ceremony in 2012.
Mark has gone on to Produce, Co Produce a number of short films, notably Pukka written by the late Mark Straker where mark was able to combine his film making skills with his back ground in secondary education and use film making to teach English and maths to a group of young people.
The film went onto win the community award at the Nottinghill film festival in 2004.
Mark then Co Produced One of us also written by the late Mark Straker, and this went on to win the award for best drama at the Hollywood VSM (|Very Short Movie) Film festival, and best actor at the BFM festival 2007.
In 2010 Co Producer and Production Designer on the Feature Film SUS an adaption of Barrie Keeffe’s classic play starring Clint Dyer.
In 2011 Mark shared the Production Design Credit on Rahab, a short film Directed by Rob Mckellan, starring David Oyelowo.
Mark teamed up with Rob Mckellan again in 2013, to Co Produce the award winning and internet hit short film ABE which Rob is developing with a studio into a feature film.
Teaming up with Hughie Philips of Mindseye, Mark with ‘Minds Eye’ Produced an entry into the London scifi 48hr film challenge 2014 to make ‘Always the Sun’ Directed by Rob Mckellan and it made it into the top 10 selection, with ‘ABE’ also screening at the festival along with another wonderful scifi short called Mouse X that Mark was involved with also, Directed by Justin Tagg.
Brining things up to date, Creative Hub Productions has a number of things in development, and is extremely excited to have teamed up with Writer director Ted Wilkes of Bottle rocket films to Produce Between Lambs and Lions, starring Paterson Joseph, Finbar Lynch, Margot Mount and Michael Rouse.
