Trump Struggles to Name Any Women Worthy for His Cabinet

(Before It's News)

Let me begin by assuring everyone that I abhor quota hires. Either you’re qualified for the job, or you’re not. That’s why the initial report of Trump’s proposed cabinet having no women wasn’t an immediate red flag for me.

That, and the fact that on his current trajectory, there’s no reason for him to even think about a cabinet.

All that being said, His Cheeto-ness was questioned about the curious lack of women named to his cabinet list.

Immediately, and with no hesitation, the nepotism kicks in.

Asked who his first female pick would be, the 70-year-old businessman suggested someone close to his heart – his daughter Ivanka Trump.
“I can tell you everybody would say, ‘Put Ivanka in! Put Ivanka in!’ you know that, right?” he told Florida journalist Angelica Savage, a cohost on First Coast News’ afternoon program The Chat.
“She’s very popular, she’s done very well,” he continued.

Ivanka Trump is a Democrat, who pushed the false narrative of gender pay disparity from the stage at the GOP, as well as other liberal-friendly talking points.

Savage could be a good pick too, he went on to suggest. The 44-year-old previously worked for the Trump Organization, is a former Miss Florida and claims to have known Donald for “probably 20 years now.”
“There really are so many people that are really talented people,” Donald said, “Like you – you’re so talented, but I don’t know if your viewers know that.” “Is this breaking news? Am I going to be in the cabinet?” she joked. “Is that a yes?” “Sounds like it to me – looking good to me,” he joked.

Out of a world full of highly qualified women, Trump is stumped as to finding any who could serve in any position with his company, other than his Democrat daughter and someone he’s known for 20 years.

On the one hand, this is a minor deal, to me. I don’t care who he names to his imaginary cabinet. We all know it’s not going to happen.

On the other hand, however, everything he does will be used against the rest of the ticket, down ballot.

If he’s perceived as a misogynistic toad, the entire GOP ballot will suddenly be painted as a stable of misogynistic toads.

It’s optics, and they matter.
