Doubling-Down: Obama Officially Begins 2017 Syrian Refugee Program

Do you know what today is? Today is the last day of the Federal government’s 2016 Fiscal Year.
One year ago, Barack Obama stood before the American people and promised that he would bring 10,000 Syrian refugees into the United States over the next year.
Well, I regret to inform you that for the first time in his two terms, Barack Obama has exceeded expectations… Over the past twelve months, he has brought 12,571 Syrian refugees into the United States.
And as an Obama administration official admitted to Congress this week, they were unvetted!
Simon Henshaw is an Assistant Secretary in the State Department’s Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migrants. He testified this week before a Judiciary Subcommittee that he has no idea how many Syrian refugees will come in over the next year.
“I can only say that I expect it will be above 12,000, yeah,” Henshaw said.
That’s not even the biggest revelation from the hearing.
Henshaw also admitted that they do not fully vet these refugees. People are brought into based on their “vulnerabilities,” with no focus at all on whether they are radicalized or not.
In order to come into the US, refugees have to swear under oath that they’re not Nazis. Not Neonazis, mind you… They actually have to swear under oath that they were not German soldiers during World War II… But what is truly shocking is that these refugees are not screened for radical Islamist views.
Multiple heads of US Intelligence agencies have admitted that the United States cannot completely vet Syrian refugees. Now we know that the Obama administration isn’t even trying…
Tomorrow marks the start of the 2017 Fiscal Year and the beginning of the first full year of Obama’s accelerated Syrian refugee program.
In the past two weeks, we have seen multiple terror attacks on US soil perpetrated by people who entered the United States as a result of our refugee and asylum programs. The ISIS terrorist who stabbed 8 people in a Minnesota shopping mall was a Somali refugee and the NJ/NY bomber was able to come to the United States from Afghanistan after his father’s asylum application was approved.
We now know for a FACT that the Obama administration isn’t vetting refugees for radicalism. As soon as the clock strikes midnight, the administration will open the floodgates once again and continue bringing hundreds of unvetted refugees into the country every day.
You CANNOT allow this to happen!
These people are coming from a warzone. The Syrian government, in many areas of the country, is non-existent. US Immigration officials can’t just call up the Syrian government and get identity papers or criminal history records.
On top of that, news sources have confirmed that ISIS possesses at least one Syrian government passport printer, giving them the ability to provide their fighters with new identities.
And on the off chance that the Syrian government does pick up the phone and confirm that a refugee is a radical, why would they help us? Why would they help the country that is actively trying to topple the Syrian government?
Those are the hoops that the Obama administration would have to jump through if they were trying to weed out radicals.
But now we know they aren’t even trying to jump through these hoops…
Enough is enough. There is legislation right now that could stop all of this. The American SAFE Act passed the House with a bipartisan, veto-proof majority.
GOP leadership is content with letting this bill collect dust. Meanwhile, the Obama administration is bringing in refugees that it admits could very well be radical Islamists.
This has to stop!
