Fellow Conservative,
They’re back. Tomorrow morning, both the House and Senate return to Washington to formally go back into session.
Over the summer recess, Mitch McConnell has kept a handful of Republican Junior Senators in Washington DC to prevent Obama from filling the late-Antonin Scalia’s Supreme Court seat with a recess appointment.
Recess appointments can only happen if the Senate is out of session, so every three days, all summer long, the Senate would gavel in and out of session to block Obama.
We have to give credit where credit is due. We fully expected Mitch McConnell to cave and allow a hearing on Obama’s radical leftist Supreme Court nominee. But it has been 173 since Merrick Garland was formally nominated and McConnell has stood firm.
When Congress gavels back into session, Trey Gowdy and Jason Chaffetz will return to building the case against Hillary Clinton and the House will begin impeachment proceeding against Obama's IRS commissioner. But not everyone returning to Congress has honorable intentions… There is a select group of Republicans plotting to surrender the Supreme Court to Obama.
If they succeed, it's over.
Every week, we get reports from DC about a small, but growing group of Congressmen and Senators conspiring to push through Obama’s Supreme Court nominee regardless of the outcome of the election.
These people are the epitome of “Republicans in name only.” They include Senators like Jeff Flake (RINO-AZ) who is an open border advocate, was a member of the Gang of Eight, and pushed for a pathway to citizenship for illegal aliens.
This is a Senator who voted against the 2013 gun control bill only to flip-flop and apologize to his constituents when his approval rating dropped to the lowest in all of Congress.
This weekend, Flake actively did interviews talking about Hillary Clinton flipping his state and how Trump likely won’t win.
He’s not a Conservative. So why would he want to risk having to confirm a conservative Justice?
Him and others are working behind the scenes to force a hearing and a full confirmation vote on Merrick Garland.
If they can trick their Republican colleagues to hold a committee hearing “just in case,” then they can turn around and vote with the Democrats to push Obama’s nominee through during a full floor vote.
It’s despicable.
While Congress was out of session, these traitors were meeting and plotting their next moves.
Now they are ready to initiate their plan. It takes 14 Republican Senators to vote with the Democrats to push Merrick Garland onto the Supreme Court bench. The word out of DC is that as many as 16 GOP Senators are onboard.
They are counting on getting away with this under the radar. But now you know.
As Ronald Reagan once said, this is a time for choosing. You can either rise up to fight to STOP these GOP turncoats from surrendering the Supreme Court, and the future of the country, for generations or you can sit back and let it happen.
I am driven by one fundamental desire. When my grandkids or great-grandkids read about the fight to take this country back, I want them to know that I did everything in my power to ensure the country I grew up in was left to them as well.
When they ask what I did to stop Obama and the RINOs from destroying the Republic, I want the answer to be “everything I possibly could.”
What will your answer be?
Sincerely,
Joe Otto
