WATCH: Syrian Rebel Taking a Selfie Accidentally Detonates Bomb Around His Friends
We all knew selfies would lead to disaster, but we never knew it would be hilarious.
During a video being shot by Syrian Rebels, a man is seen singing into a microphone as his friends gather against a wall for a photo. Rifles are stacked in the center of the room, and as the music plays on, a man on the left picks up a phone and poses for a selfie.
What he didn’t know, or perhaps forgot, is that this phone was rigged to detonate a bomb. When the man clicked the shutter, the phone beeped, and a bomb is suddenly detonated, throwing the room into chaos and obscuring the lens with smoke. Shouts of “Allahu Akbar” can be heard, and as the smoke clears, you can see men stepping over the camera.
It’s not clear how many, if any died during the blast. In fact, there has been no confirmation yet as to whether or not the video is legitimate. Regardless, this is pretty hysterical.
