(Before It's News)

This election is just an embarrassment. Who would have thought that after eight years of Obama that America could be turned into more of a laughingstock. Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton have joined forces to do just that.

Hillary Clinton’s resumé includes working for a crooked law firm in Arkansas, being the most scandal-plagued first lady in American history, carpetbagging a Senate seat in a state in which she never lived, failing as Secretary of State while using her position for personal enrichment and deliberately hiding her communications from her bosses. Yet she managed to put out a campaign ad attacking Donald Trump for being a bad role model for children—without being struck by lightning (that we know of). Hillary saying Trump, or anyone else for that matter, is a bad role model for children is the very definition of chutzpah.

That’s not to say that Donald Trump isn’t a bad role model. He is a terrible role model. We have just had to endure weeks of discussion about Donald Trump’s lecherous behavior and his video recorded boasting about what sounds exactly like sexual assault to everyone in the world who isn’t Jeff Sessions, Sean Spicer, or Newt Gingrich. All that was served to us on top of what we already knew of Trump being a serial adulterer who doesn’t pay his bills. He is a good role model for children only if you want your child to grow up to be Caligula.

Now Trump is trolling Hillary with her own words. During a rally in Warren, Michigan on Monday, Trump attacked Clinton as a “terrible example” for children.

Donald Trump argued Monday that Democratic rival Hillary Clinton is a “terrible example” for children, including his 10-year-old son Barron, as he lambasted her for getting a tip on a question asked in a town hall during the Democratic primary.

“I have a son named Barron, and I want to tell you, she is a terrible example for my son and for the children in this country,” Trump said Monday.

This would be a humorous way of deflecting criticism back on his opponent if his opponent’s criticism wasn’t absolutely true. Trump is just as much a hypocrite for questioning Hillary’s example for children. But again, just because someone is being a hypocrite doesn’t mean that what they say isn’t accurate.

Someone, please. Just. Make. It. Stop.

Maybe next time we can have an election where our voting criteria doesn’t include how long of a shower we’ll need to take after casting our ballot.
