(Before It's News)

A hollywoodreporter.com article by Marisa Guthrie dated Nov 16, 2016 has an interview with Megyn Kelly to promote Kelly’s new book ‘Settle for More’. The article focuses on Kelly’s emotions, particularly her most negative experiences while at Fox News. Like former news star Paula Zahn, Kelly seems to be willing to throw journalistic quality to the wind for a better offer elsewhere. Of course, you’ll have to buy the book to see if there are any detailed allegations against Trump. Here is the most provocative hint in the article that you can read online:

In Kelly’s new book Settle for More, the Fox News anchor says Roger Ailes made “offers of professional advancement in exchange for sexual favors” and that Trump began reaching out to her six months before he announced his candidacy.

Kelly has strong legal experience. She was one of the most insightful guests of the Bill O’Rilley program in the time before she was given her own program. She was one of the few that had no problem confronting Bill on issues while improving the discussions. Kelly clearly deserved her own program and she did an excellent job once she had.

Review the quote shown above like a lawyer would. Kelly is not quoted (in relation to Trump) and it may be the author of the article that is leading the hint of scandal. Trump is mentioned elsewhere in the article and discussion is intermixed with alleged sexual harassment by her former boss Roger Ailes. Trump may have been reaching out to Kelly to simply appear on her program, but the proximity to scandal is used to suggest more. There is technically nothing that Trump could sue Kelly over and yet anyone that reads the article knows that Trump is being accused of untoward sexual advances. This is a carefully crafted hit-piece on Trump that Kelly is attempting to profit from.

Kelly is becoming a disappointment. She is playing political games as a negotiation tactic. She is faining injury and becoming the news by purposefully misreporting with emotional undertones. Don’t believe for one moment that the emotions of fear and uncertainty reflected in the Guthrie article (and perhaps Kelly’s book) can be from the strong and assertive woman that warms televisions around the US. She is playing us for her ambitions, and she is throwing good people under the bus in the process. She even drew her own daughter into the story for emotional impact.

Kelly became the news during the Trump campaign when she sold her respect to assail Trump for privately recorded “locker room talk” with former Access Hollywood host Billy Bush. A lawyer as clever as Kelly could not have mistakenly interpreted the most infamous part of that conversation:

Trump said: I have to use some tic-tacs just in case I start kissing her. You know I’m automatically attracted to beautiful women, I just start kissing them. It’s like a magnet. <unknown words or poor editing> And when you’re a star they let you do it. You can do anything, grab them by the pussy [for example]. You can do anything.

Trump never said that he had nor would grab a woman sexually against her will. No, not even close. Trump is showing surprise at the obvious ambitions of some women. He said that he is attracted to beautiful women and that beautiful women are submissive to “stars”. They are so submissive that they might even, believe it or not, allow a star to grab their pussy…or more. Trump is saying that he is so submissive to beautiful women that he can’t help offering them a kiss in greeting.

A greeting with a cheek kiss is odd by US norms, but it is completely respectful and courteous. He is even mindful of his breath so as to not be offensive in any way. The most damning admission that had appeared in that private recording was that Trump sheepishly admits that he pursued a sexual relationship with a woman that was married at the time. Trump’s comments were embarrassing, but notice that Bush is the one leading the conversation. Trump was being social in the most vile way that he could relate to Bush’s way of thinking. Bush would not comprehend the message of remorse that Trump was really giving, and few other listeners would either.

Trump is not the predator that Kelly attempts to sell us for her ambitions. Kelly has sacrificed her journalistic integrity and has made herself the news. She is playing to the emotions of women and had influenced a presidential election. It is looking like her best days are behind her now, perhaps her career can end with a large contract and few viewers at CNN like Paula Zahn’s had. The CNN audience is still a sucker for faked drama and injury.

Trump noticed Kelly’s ambitions immediately, her unsuccessful attempt to create news in an early interview grew into this continuing drama. The insane competition between Fox News anchors is starting to develop signs of traditional MSM bias that few appreciate. Let’s hope that Fox is able to lower the tension levels and correct the mistakes because one of their best anchors is starting to appear destructively ambitious and is preparing to leave like others had.

Guthrie writes: “she [Kelly] leaves the house around 3:30 p.m., right when her children are getting home from school”. Kelly is quoted “I am a good mom, and I’m present for my children, and they get whatever ounce of energy I have left in me after I do this job, which some days isn’t much.” Those words are a clue for why Kelly’s extreme ambition is now becoming a problem for her. Kelly needs more time with family but can’t acknowledge what she perceives as failure. Kelly’s hostility toward Trump is projection.

If Kelly can’t change her work schedule to be with her children then private schooling for her children (at a more family-accommodative time) seems the best remedy. From what we know of Trump’s character he is probably making a few calls to help this family now that an analysis has been presented.
