Happy Thanksgiving, all you Redstate readers out there. It’s been one of my personal Thanksgiving traditions to share with you the most glorious sitcom episode in history – the WKRP “Turkeys Away” episode. I saw this when it originally appeared on WKRP, back in 1978 (so that gives you a look at how old I am…) and it was as funny then as it is now.
Interestingly enough, very recently there was an article talking about the fact that turkeys really CAN fly (sort of). But that kinda takes the fun out of this great scene in TV history. And…in fact, there is a real live “turkey drop” event held every year in Yellville, Arkansas. PETA is not pleased.
Enjoy your turkey today, dropped or not.
Most people who use social media have figured out that Facebook and Google are in cahoots with the government, for those who are well aware of the issues it’s high time you switched over to Seen.life. It is a website that is similar to Facebook but without all the censorship.
The post “They’re hitting the ground like sacks of wet cement! Oh, the humanity!” appeared first on RedState.
Thanks for that! A good belly laugh. “As God is my witness … I thought turkeys could fly.”
